    Count me in with the people who are glad it was closed. The outdoor temperature was 52 and the inside temperatures was 66 and if it had been a blowout the other way without much cheering, I would have been really cold. I understand it's been a long winter, but maybe it will be open tomorrow with a forecast high of 62...

    I agree with Ajay, Opening Day was amazing!!! However, I am wondering about a person-sized hole in Miller Park's exterior facade, field level right field side. It looked like it just happened because there was broken glass everywhere and an usher looking after it. Just wondering if anyone saw this happen...

    Weather: mostly sunny, temperature in the upper 40's. There will be a light wind blowing in from center field.

    If Sheets is healthy, he's on a different level than Gallardo--and Gallardo has the stuff of a future ace. But Ben Sheets has a hall-of-fame caliber curveball, which Gallardo can't match. Now that Estrada is gone, Bill Hall might just be the team's worst base runner. But he hasn't been on base much in the past year, so it's tough to say.

    Hall was trying to get a good lead from 2nd if Hart singled. He was clearly safe on the throw, so I have trouble getting too angry at him. But Z is out...shocking. I wonder if it is a blister or something more serious?

    Good weather news: this should be the end of the rain delays, the rest of the rain won't move through until later tonight.

    Dumb idea to delay it. The rain should be over in 5-10 minutes. We'll be back playing by 3:15, so I don't think Sheets will have to come out. There's another rain area about 45 minutes behind that, unfortunately.

    I see the Missouri stuff but I doubt it will get there until the late evening. Just showers until then and they can play in a light rain.

    It is raining right now, but there is a large area of clearing following the rain. I bet they start by 2:00 and get the entire game in. GO BREWERS!!!!!!!!!

Sheets will hit his first and only career HR this year.
