  1. I’m sure it’s been mentioned here somewhere but how is Robertson’s defense at 3B? I think I’m starting to accept that he might be our starting 3B. Or at the very least in some sort of platoon which is ok I guess.
  2. That would be quite the haul for Cleveland in that scenario. We probably don’t have to give up both Hader and Hiura to acquire Ramirez.
  3. Idk, I like Robertson, just don't think he's the right answer as our everyday 3B. I wouldn’t read too much into anything Haudricourt says. He doesn’t know anything.
  4. I would guess Small or Ashby, and perhaps someone like Je'von Ward. I would do that trade in a heartbeat.
  5. So hypothetically if you traded Hiura to Cleveland for Ramirez, who else would you have to add to make it happen?
  6. This gives the Brewers the ability to trade Hiura for an absolute stud 3B or 1B, if they want. I like this move a lot.
  7. Hiura definitely goes to 1B or something wild happens and he’s on the move.
  8. 2 years, $18 million? Holy smokes!
  9. Maybe Hiura goes in a package for somebody like Jose Ramirez in this scenario? Or some other stud 1B or 3B?
  10. Good on base guy which this lineup desperately needs. Had a pretty good 2019 at the plate. I don’t know, could be worse I guess.
  11. And then move Hiura to first? I like it.
  12. Yeah I thought this was settled a few days ago when the union rejected the owner’s latest proposal and it was announced the season would start on time and there would be no universal DH, etc? So what would Stearns be waiting for at this point? Another counter offer from the owners?
  13. Nelson Cruz is going back to the Twins on a one year, $13 million deal.
  14. Yeah I’d rather use that sort of trade capital to acquire Jose Ramirez and plus we’d never trade for that salary anyway.
  15. It’s being moved back? Says who?
  16. No certainly not yet but my fear is if Stearns waits too long looking for the perfect deal for these free agents, we’re going to end up with some really subpar signings.
  17. Having patience is all fine and dandy until the well dries up and you’re left scrambling for spare parts or you get stuck with Robertson and Vogelbach as your starting corner infielders.
  18. Antoine Kelly is probably another guy who’s close to being in the top 100, just based off the reports coming out over the past couple months.
  19. I could definitely live with getting Nunez, Franco and Paxton to fill out the roster. Would it be the most ideal offseason ever? No, but it would be solid.
  20. We have the worst commissioner in all of sports. I don’t think Manfred even likes baseball.
  21. If those are the offers we’ve been getting for Hader then I can see why he’s still a Brewer. Or maybe I need to re-evaluate my expectations a bit.
  22. I'll take another stab at this since we have done absolute nothing yet and I'm bored. Sign Justin Turner 3 years, $39 million Trade Hader and Houser to the Blue Jays for 1B Rowdy Tellez, Jordan Groshans, Simeon Woods Richardson and Miguel Hiraldo Sign Taijuan Walker 2 years, $14 million
  23. The list of available free agents really is dwindling to the point where it’s going to take some trades to fill the corner infield spots or we’re back to signing guys like Smoak and Sogard again.
  24. I really find it hard to believe San Diego and Milwaukee couldn’t work out a trade for Hader. Even after all of the trades San Diego made this winter, they still have most of their top 10 prospects intact.
  25. The Cardinals are just trolling us now knowing we basically have no 1B and 3B while they now have one of the better corner infields in baseball.
