    Only way we have a chance at Turner now is if the Dodgers trade for Bryant and that just doesn’t seem likely at this point. Turner seems destined to end up back in LA.

    I won’t go that far yet but I hear what you’re saying. If you’re not going to surround those guys with some quality players (particularly on the offensive side), then maybe it’s time for a mini rebuild. We seem to be stuck trying to decide if we should go for it or not.

    So how much will the Cardinals have to pay him? This is so damn depressing.

    Even the most optimistic fans have to be a little nervous at this point. It’s January 29 and our biggest acquisition so far is Daniel Robertson at under a million dollars. The free agent market is dwindling every day and I’m starting to lose hope.

    This offseason has me in a foul mood and this certainly doesn’t help.

    Not surprised I guess. The Indians probably didn’t ask him to play the infield and they probably offered him more money.

    They only have Yates on a one year deal so if there were any issues it would only be for a year and then they’d have Hader for two more years beyond that.

    Just out of curiosity had Rosario been a free agent after the season, where do you think he would have ranked amongst the top free agents? Top 20? Top 25? Lower? He obviously wasn’t on any of the rankings since he was non-tendered.

    Considering the other options available at 1B, I’d be fine with trying Rosario there. Why not.

    I’d be comfortable going 3 years at $39 million. I think we could find a way to fit in $13 million per year.

    We desperately need a guy like this in our lineup (high OBP). Shouldn’t cost that much to get him.

    I’ve been a big fan of Arraez for awhile now. He would look really nice in our lineup and can also play some 3B.

    I would do that trade in a heartbeat but from what I’ve heard, the Twins absolutely love Kirilloff and view him as nearly untouchable. Substitute him for Trevor Larnarch and perhaps they could strike a deal.

    Yeah the Yankees system just doesn’t do it for me which is a shame because I’m sure they’d be one of the more aggressive teams in a pursuit for Hader.

    Aren’t the Mets looking for an OF? They missed out on both Springer and Hand.

    Hader has been pretty durable so far but I agree he could blow out his arm at any point. Trouble is other GMs know this too which could be why nobody has met the Brewers high asking price. Can’t blame either side I guess.

    Oh for Pete’s sake. La Stella is no world beater but he would have been a really nice addition to our lineup and would have filled a position of need. We’re gonna mess around waiting for a bargain deal and end up with nobody.

    Lots of Brewers-related leaks today. Could just be a coincidence or maybe something is finally about to materialize.

    Per Robert Murray, Brewers continue to listen to trade inquiries on Hader but asking price is overwhelming. Not exactly breaking news as this is what we figured.

    Is he exclusively an OF? I wonder if he could play 1B? I agree, he could potentially put up big numbers at Am Fam.
