  1. Yeah I’m sure Turner going back to the Dodgers will be announced soon.
  2. We just can’t have nice things, can we?
  3. Realmuto back to the Phillies on a 5 year deal.
  4. Man would he look good in our lineup. Would provide some much needed OBP.
  5. Yeah the projected payroll is around $85 million and I know that’s just a projection but if true, that would only leave about $6 million to spend which is extremely depressing.
  6. Last year was just weird and we were an average to below average team but we’ve made the playoffs every year since Yelich and Cain were acquired. As a lifelong Brewers fan who suffered through the 90s and early 2000s, three years in a row being in the playoffs is absolutely incredible.
  7. I’m giving myself two more weeks. I think most of the remaining free agents are signed in the next two weeks so if it’s February 8 and the Brewers have done nothing, then it’s time to panic.
  8. Three years ago today, the Brewers acquired both Yelich and Cain within just a couple hours of each other. Probably one of the greatest days in Brewers history, certainly in offseason history. I would say that day has worked out pretty well for the Brewers.
  9. You can still have an interesting/exciting offseason without spending big money (trades). There’s still time but I’m starting to get an uneasy feeling.
  10. Another quantity over quality type trade. Wonder if there’s a team out there willing to give up their 3B for a bunch of low-level prospects?
  11. If the Brewers were able to trade both Hader and Garcia, that would drop about $17 million from payroll which would probably be enough to sign Ozuna. You could then go out and sign a guy like La Stella to play 3B. That would go a long way in fixing the offense I would think.
  12. MLB trade rumors predicts a 4 year, $72 million contract for Ozuna. If we traded Garcia that would certainly help, but it’s hard to imagine the Brewers spending that kind of money this year.
  13. Well that would be a bizarre use of our financial resources when we so desperately need some corner infielders!
  14. Can you imagine if we actually signed somebody of substance? There would be 47 pages.
  15. The conversation doesn’t even start for me unless Vaughn is included and even then, I would be very hesitant to trade Burnes.
  16. Sounds like HighHeat moved over to the White Sox message boards.
  17. I guess I could see the Brewers selling high on Burnes but it seems very unlikely. We all know how hard it is to develop elite starting pitching and if we trade Burnes then we’re left with Woodruff and a bunch of question marks in the starting rotation. That and inept offense would make for a very long season.
  18. The Blue Jays and Padres aren’t playing around this offseason.
  19. Kopech and Vaughn for Burnes?
  20. The stove is starting to heat up a bit.
  21. And somehow the Pirates will still find a way to give the Brewers fits.
  22. Not getting him on a minimum deal but I really like Taijuan Walker on a 2 year deal in the $15 million range.
  23. Baseball America has Turang and Mitchell at 88 and 91 on their preseason top 100 list.
  24. A lot of pitchers have been signed this week. Wonder when the position player market is going to pick up.
  25. Mets close to signing Brad Hand per Ken Rosenthal.
