  1. I don’t think his contract is THAT awful, particularly with the contracts that are being handed out these days. I’m sure he’d accept a trade to some team in California but I also don’t think the Brewers are as desperate to rid themselves of his contract as some fans are.
  2. These reporters aren’t getting any insider information from the Brewers. The Brewers are one of the most tight-lipped organizations in baseball. We usually don’t know a trade or signing is going down until it actually happens. All of these “reports” are just whatever to me.
  3. So that would be the Reds # 2, 6, 9, and 11th ranked prospects for two years of Cease. Would love to know what Arnold is asking for Burnes.
  4. Juan Soto to the Yankees appears to be inevitable.
  5. Can cross off Devin Williams being traded to Baltimore.
  6. Sheehan must be a late bloomer because going back to when he was drafted in 2021, Sheehan never made the Dodgers top 30 list on MLB Pipeline, unless I’m missing something. He’s never been a highly regarded prospect, at least not in the minds of prospect rankings. Not arguing with you, just an observation.
  7. I don’t know. I look at those Dodgers pitching prospects and I’m not completely enamored with them. So if a team like Baltimore offers some of their stud infield prospects, I’d probably be pretty okay with that.
  8. This is typically how the MLB offseason goes. It’s painfully slow! It’s not like the NBA where everything happens in about two weeks.
  9. I’d probably prefer Norby over Ortiz just because Norby is two years younger and appears to have a little more pop in his bat, but I would be perfectly happy with that sort of trade with Baltimore. Throw in a pitcher like McDermott or Povich or someone even lower down the pipeline and I’d be ecstatic.
  10. Sounds like Miley deal is done.
  11. I forgot how painfully slow and boring the MLB offseason can be. Hopefully things heat up starting tomorrow because the stove is COLD.
  12. Multiple reporters saying the deal should get done today.
  13. Yeah needs to work on drawing more walks but did cut the strikeout numbers down considerably during the second half of 2023. Other than that, not much to gripe about. He’s a 5-tool prospect for a reason.
  14. Jeff Passan reports the Brewers have engaged teams on Burnes, which shouldn’t be shocking.
  15. Black and Chourio in the opening day lineup will be quite enjoyable.
  16. Yeah really a best case scenario in my opinion with the 8 guaranteed years plus two team options, even if those options are pricey. This is a great day.
  17. I’m no expert in trade values but that seems like a pretty good deal for the Brewers. They get a combination of nice infield and pitching prospects, which is exactly what they need.
  18. Per Jon Morosi, the Angels, Dodgers, Giants and Padres are “enamored” with Burnes. He expects Burnes to be moved this offseason.
