  1. Hader pitched a scoreless 9th and got the win and Grisham hit a walkoff homerun last night for the Padres. A capper to a great day.
  2. And why are they sending him to Nashville right away? Makes absolutely no sense.
  3. I’m sure this has already been brought up but why wouldn’t Ruiz immediately replace Davis on the active roster? He doesn’t seem to have anything left to prove in the minors.
  4. Probably the dumbest trade Stearns has made. I don’t know even know what to say about this one.
  5. Three hits for Frelick in his AAA debut. Won’t be long before he’s roaming the outfield in Milwaukee.
  6. D+ for me. If the offense struggles to score runs down the stretch like they did last year, Stearns will never hear the end of it. Or maybe he doesn’t give a crap since he’s off to New York anyway.
  7. For Tristan Peters? Is David Stearns drunk?
  8. You can never have enough bullpen arms…or can you?
  9. The new Nashville outfield is going to be fun to watch!
  10. Former #1 overall pick who’s having a very solid season. Not too shabby! Edit: Didn’t know Kelly was also included. Not sure now.
  11. Trading Hader mid-season feels like a punch to the gut. It would have been a lot easier losing him in offseason. That being said, Ruiz and Gasser sound like exciting prospects and Rogers slots right into the 8th or 9th inning role.
  12. If Ruiz is headed to Nashville and Frelick, Wiemer and Mitchell are all headed there, something else has to be up…
  13. Let me be the first to say: What the F?
  14. Don’t have a subscription to The Athletic but Keith Law has Chourio ranked as the 3rd best prospect in all of baseball in his mid-season rankings.
  15. Contending teams don’t trade their all-star closers at the deadline. This would be a shocker.
  16. Pretty cool! I was expecting Frelick to get the bump but not Mitchell and certainly not Wiemer.
  17. I’m not sure if we’ll acquire a hitter but one thing I know for sure is Stearns will acquire at least one reliever. He does every deadline. Let’s just hope it works out better than it did last year with Norris and Curtiss!
  18. Seems like it’ll either be the Cardinals or Padres. Go Padres I guess.
  19. This bodes well for the Brewers not having to face Castillo anymore.
  20. Yeah this doesn’t get me excited one bit. Pass.
  21. Yeah this doesn’t get me excited one bit. Pass.
  22. Is it Bello or Davis starting for Boston? Either way, I like our chances tonight! Edit: Nevermind! I see the correction now.
  23. Somebody please tell me what the fuss is all about with this guy? He hasn’t put up good numbers since 2019.
  24. Just for fun, would you rather give up the farm to get Soto or Ohtani?
