  1. They also stink against sliders, curveballs, cut fast balls, BP fastballs, anything on the outer half of the plate, anything on the inner half of the plate above the belt of near th knees. So really the only thing we have going for us is straight fastballs middle-in and thigh high. I mean really how many on the team can consistently hit an outside pitch? Braun did on his double but they are virtually incapable of hitting an outside pitch the other way (at least right now, normally they aren't this bad)
  2. I really hope Lidge doesn't get into the game today at all. I am optimistic about today, Myers has been pretty bad, CC has been pretty good and their will be no Bill Hall or Rickie Weeks
  3. Fielder and Cameron both swung at Ball 4 in the 9th inning. I am sure that would have changed the inning. The defense in the 3rd inning was atrocious. I know most CF don't even get to that ball but if it is in the glove you have to catch it. However I can't get to upset about this loss so my vent is really only a moderate vent
  4. Man we could have won that game 1-0 if it weren't for the shoddy defense. Rickie dropped a routine throw and Cam dropped a flyball that he would normally catch. Hamels was just on today, what else can you say. We fought back and I am suprised Lidge even threw Corey a strike. That was a very hittable pitch the Corey struck out on
  5. I have a feeling Yo is going to be awesome today and will be followed by McClung who will be equally awesome. The only problem will be scoring off of Hamels. If we win today the Phillies better be scared because they would be staring 0-2 in the face. I am not going to say we will win but I am strangely confident despite the horrible Philly series earlier and our current lack of hitting.
  6. I would if I could but I am pretty sure I can't afford that. Maybe if my medical insurance wasn't so expensive.......
  7. Yes. The only investment I have right now is the 401K through my employer. I put in 6% and my employer matches 100% up to 6%. I am pretty sure that is a very good deal.
  8. My mom just forwarded that to me. It just common sense. $425,000 per person would be about $8.5 trillion dollars. Obviously whoever decided to originate that email knew he/she was lying but he figured most people wouldn't bother to do the math.
  9. So the general consensus is that it was wrong of me to take 15% out of the market? Atleast 15% of my portfolio is stablized at this point and not losing money. I have a co-worker who put 100% of her portfolio in a money market account in January and she says shell put it back in the market in the next couple weeks. Obviously here portfolio is light years ahead of mind. How is that a bad thing? She is going to be buying in at a very low price on a lot of the mutual funds and she hardly lost anything.
  10. I would just assume Hart try to bunt everytime he goes up there because it seems that is the only way he gets on base. I suppose with Burrell being a pretty bad defender he could drop a few duck farts in short left field as well.
  11. I also decided to take a 1/2 day. My logic was the same as everyone else, it would be pointless for me to work. Besides the Brewers make me incredibly nervous and therefore sweaty and no one at work really wants to see that right?
  12. Well I hope their are still passes available tommorrow morning because that is when I am hoping to get mine. Everyone at the ticket office really needs to get on the same page, they need to issue a press release or something because I am freaking out. I want to tailgate darn it.
  13. Just imagine if he pulls a Suppan 2006 in the playoffs. If he did the Brewers could trade him for a pretty nice package if they wanted to. It seems odd to think the Bush will get a deal pretty close to what Sheets got 4 years ago.
  14. Man I hope Lohse returns to his non-contract year performance. I think he was pitching a little bit above his head this year. I will be very interested to see what happens with Ludwick next year. Can he realistically duplicate this year?
  15. Is ordering over the phone and the tickets being mailed overnight an option? Or do I have to physically drive down to Miller Park to buy the parking pass? I bet general parking is at least $20 instead of the normal $10 on weekends.
  16. Since the beginning of the year was able to avoid panicking and I had 100% of my 401K portfolio in various mutual funds. I pretty much followed the advice of our 401K administrator since I know the guy. But when I looked in July and I saw I was getting a negative 18% return on the year I kind of freaked out and transferred some funds. Since that time I am beating the market so I think I made a wise choice. Now my next difficult choice is when I should move that money back into the market. I am thinking of doing it shortly. I just can't imagine what bad news could make the stock market drop even further. What other institutions are out there that are still at risk of failing?
  17. I will not argue about a $5 per seat ticket increase. 35,000 people, 81 games, that would be another $14 million. I think that would do the trick. Just call it the CC Sabathia Convenience Fee
  18. Does this apply to general parking as well? Can I really show up at noon on Saturday and not get in?
  19. All I can say is Thank Goodness I am 25 and not 55. I have plenty of time to recover from this. I just hope all near retirees got out in time or atleast switched over to some money market funds. I recently transferred 15% of my 401K to a money market. Now I am thinking that I didn't move enough. Every time I think the market has hit bottom it keeps going lower.
  20. Yes FSN is broadcasting it. They advertised the Pep rally during the replay of yesterday's game at noon today.
  21. Our #6 hitter is a blackhole Our OBP % is horrible. Solo HR's aren't going to win a lot of games.
  22. Down 777 freaking points today!!! The biggest one day DOW loss in history (In Points not %) Are you serious? If lawmakers didn't think this was a crisis already I hope they realize it now.
  23. The St. Louis Cardinal Bullpen. You treated us well.
  24. I don't think the Crew has earned the right to look past anyone. Like it has been said countless times, only looks so far ahead as todays game. Don't even think about the NLCS, lineup the rotation to make it through the NLDS and worry about the NLCS later. There is absolutely no reason to not start CC in 2 games.
