  1. Best defensive performance of all time? https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/48400896/jo-adell-robs-mariners-three-homers-angels-1-0-win
  2. Since I was curious, the record for any top 100 list is San Diego, with 10 in 2019. There have been a few cases of 9, which we'd hit if/when Fischer joins the list.
  3. IIRC in one of McCalvy's ST articles he did quote Andy as saying he wants to pitch as much as possible. So, I guess that's happening.
  4. In a vacuum you may be right. But give the amount of stud IF prospects we have right now, it's a lot less likely. Also, it's 4 years away, so lots could happen between now and then.
  5. Well we didn't see that twist coming. Hope he's ok.
  6. I agree with both these points. It would be one thing if this were a real hit piece, but it's April 1, there's not really a high journalistic bar we're trying to clear here. And Bucknor and Hernandez are really bad at their jobs.
  7. I think that's one where it's not just about WAR accumulation. Adames was huge both in presence, leadership, and what he actually contributed from the SS position. It worked out well for both teams, and that's a perfectly fine outcome.
  8. How about a laugher to get Hall and Woodford some action. I suppose regardless, they're going to be the ones getting the call.
  9. Took me a couple sentences to remember it was April 1. Kudos for pulling this together last night after being provided with the perfect setup.
  10. I would imagine in most situations the catcher has already made up his mind to throw (or not) regardless. It's not like you have time to wait for the umpire's call to throw down to second. Also, this is only a relevant question with 2 outs.
  11. Well, as of right now. He accepted the QO. Presumably the Brewers will not look to re-sign him, but you never know.
  12. Other than kinda by definition if you're trading someone you feel ok about moving forward without them, I don't think it's at all accurate to classify the pitching Boston sent back as "spare parts".
  13. Seeing him for the first time, his arm action feels really extreme to me. It goes really far back behind his body so there's then a long whip around when he throws it - felt like it was hard for him to get a consistent release point and know where it was going. Compare to someone like Woodruff who has a very efficient motion.
  14. The article directly addresses this: "Sanchez doesn't have a wealth of experience at first, having made four of his seven MLB appearances at the position in 2024 in his first stint with the Crew."
  15. How dare you not let Joey bat again with the bases loaded.
