I would probably be going solo as well. It looks like pairs of tickets are slightly cheaper than singles, so if you want to go in together let me know. I'm thinking I'll fly down Tues aft, get tix for both 4 and 5, and return Thurs.

Tickets in Tampa are in freefall. Coupled with frequent flier miles and now I'm seriously debating catching game 4 (and 5) for a fraction of a ticket in Milwaukee...

From the 1B angle I thought he clearly didn't swing. And the play at the plate I wasn't surprised they let stand. The foot clearly beat the tag, but it looked to me like the toe hit the dirt, bounced up, and didn't get down to the plate again til after the tag was applied. That's the danger with the foot first slide on a close play, it's really hard to get the front of your foot down. No matter, this team doesn't care. -
Maybe next game is the game where we get down and the IGT just shrugs collectively and says "who cares, we're going to come back anyway." Team of destiny.

I turned the game of right after the "DP". That would've been depressing to discover later that they'd lost, so yay for that. As some point (I would've thought we were there already) I don't think you can keep using the "we got lucky to pull that one out" line anymore. They've been doing it every. single time. They're just good doing what needs to be done to come out on top.

Ditto. Also: The ERA of the rest of the bullpen is over 4. Even if Baker is excellent, they could be seriously exposed if the Brewers do Brewers things to pitch counts.

I was on edge for SD, but after sweeping the Dodgers I can't make myself feel anything but confident. Whether it's hubris or prescience time will tell, but every indication is this team is a monster and will take down everyone in their path.

Quite the fall from last year and the way Patrick opened eyes in the playoffs. They must really not trust him to throw strikes anymore.

Gasser's last 6 starts: 4.2IP 1ER 5IP 1ER 7IP 0ER 6IP 1ER 4IP 1ER 5IP 0ER I'm not sure he's the worse pitcher against any Rays pitcher. They can be cute and play with the pitching matchups, but I don't know that it's going to matter.

Other than rest reasons, I can't imagine wanting to do anything other than pitch your best pitchers as much as possible. I'm getting Miz and Henderson their 2 games apiece (if necessary) and throwing them for however many their arms are good for in G7 if needed.

That's the thing. It's hard for me to get too worried about those two when we just went through the gauntlet of Dodgers starters. I can't believe that Freddy is going to be harder to hit than Skubal or Yamamoto or Snell.

If something crazy happened like making 3 in a row, maybe, but otherwise I think like a college coach, he enjoys coaching the kids, and the youth on this team will keep him around for a bit. He wouldn't know what to do with himself at this point if he stopped coaching. -
Does this World Series actually give us baseball in 2027?

I mean he's the FOX play by play guy, has been for years, so this isn't a surprise. Just like Brian Anderson could call a Brewers game next year when TBS handles the NL slate.
