  1. Cubs Phillies Arizona I get the anti-Cubs argument, but you can't worry about losing, it's who's the best matchup. I strongly don't want Gallen/Kelly. If someone beats the DBacks in, then whoever that team is would be my first choice.
  2. This must be a typo. I've been assured our offense is pathetic.
  3. Since getting swept at Dodger Stadium last month, the Brewers are 15-6. In that span— Pitching: 3.14 ERA (1st MLB) Hitting: 6.05 R/G (5th MLB)
  4. I mean, this is pretty much the position of anyone around baseball at this point, right? They do? Almost silent? There are conspiratorial questions? The only question is why is he still on the roster? He's been dreadful since lighting the world on fire in April. This is not a mystery. No. I mean, there is the one poster here that won't let it go... If by "shoved aside" you mean relegated to the bench because he's been really really bad. No. 100% no.
  5. You don't need to manufacture some "little man vs the big experts" dramatic conflict here like you're fighting a righteous war against The Man or something. We're all fans debating things on the internet.
  6. Since it's not embedding at least for me: Big news in Chicago: Top outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong is being called up by the Cubs, sources tell ESPN. The plan is for him to be activated on Tuesday. Cubs are gearing up for a playoff run, and their best prospect will be there with them.
  7. This is an interesting response after scoring lots of runs the first two games and then facing Cole today. I guess if you want to complain about a couple of innings against their bullpen, ok, but doesn't seem very reasonable. I assume all the Yankees fans are raging about how their hitters suck if they can't hit Burnes and Williams.
  8. Ok, but saying it's because he's a Cubs fan is lazy. Maybe one might try simply asking why the omission?
  9. I dunno, I wouldn't be excited about Gallen and Kelly.
  10. So, maybe sometimes management does have a clue and there are reasons behind their actions...
  11. I'm not really sure what your point is here though. A single series is a tiny sample size where any result would not be surpising. The Brewers could sweep, the Phillies could sweep, or anything in between. It's reasonable to point out that they also have 2 good pitchers and a MUCH better offense. Of course the Brewers won already, but just like someone could lose 2 football games in the regular season to a team but beat them in the playoffs, it's entirely possible that the Brewers could lose to the Phillies, so we don't need to act like any side of this argument is inconceivable.
  12. Correct. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/transactions/postseason-roster-rules-eligibility A player who doesn't meet said criteria for postseason eligibility can still be added to a team's roster in the postseason via petition to the Commissioner's Office if the player was in the organization on Aug. 31 and is replacing someone who is on the injured list and has served the minimum amount of time required for activation. (For example, a player on the 10-day injured list who has been on it for at least 10 days, or a player who has been on the 60-day injured list for at least 60 days.) Players who are acquired in September or after are ineligible.
  13. There's really no point in proposing Yelich deals since he has a full NTC.
  14. So are we just going to rehash the entire Hiura thread in here now? :)
  15. You're out of control. Tellez post-injury has not been bad.
  16. That immediately aged poorly. :)
  17. I assure you LA and Atlanta aren't going to be laughing as they head into the NLDS. May I refer you to last year?
