    What is Poo going to want now? See, here's the way I'm looking at this....they're going to spend so much between this insane deal and the deal they will have to give Poo, how can they afford decent players or pitchers? That's a good thing!

    Kirby Puckett to me is a lot like Dawson. Great years when healthy, and without injuries, could have been in the HOF. Sadly, injuries got in the way. Don't know if they're HOF worthy.

    Amezega can provide a bit of speed and versatility. I'd like to see him and maybe one more pitcher signed....or put together a list of guys for NRIs and see what shakes out in spring training.

    Was there anyone offering anything close to what he got? Seems almost like A-Rod back in the day where Boras pitted the Rangers against...the Rangers.

    Cut it up. Don't use it. Buy things that you can pay only cash for. My wife and I haven't used a credit card for the last year + and we haven't shriveled up yet. The only other loan in life we're planning on taking out is for a mortgage.

    Not underestimating his bat, but only 6 games career at first? What if he can't catch anything thrown to him? What's their backup plan?

    That's the best they can do? Wow.

    I'd love to see a creative deal with some of these injury riddled guys where it is a base salary of say $100,000 guaranteed, then incentives for how many months you're active, how many innings you pitch, etc. Heck, $5 per pitch thrown wouldn't be bad for some of these guys!

    Sheets wants about $12 million per year! That's laughable, coming off not pitching at all last year, and the fact that he's had injuries in the past. Anyone willing to give him $12 million is insane....Ed Wade, Lousiana is close to Houston......gonna come up with that cash?

    I'd like to see Garland or Correia round out the rotation, with maybe a Hart for Maine swap, Mulder for AAA depth....now we're talking!

    Awesome! I'm really loving the getting aggressive in the signing pitchers....last year, didn't seem like there was much of a plan after CC turned the team down. This year, seems like there is a specific list of targets and they are going after their guys!

    If Texas truly offered Smoak AND Feliz, a) The Rangers management is insane, or b) The Marlins management is insane. Feliz is going to be a great pitcher, and Smoak is going to be a good hitter for a long time to come. I'm hoping that is just a rumor and both managements aren't insane.

    An interesting name I saw on MLBtraderumors was Renyel Pinto. If DM could swing a deal for Pinto and Lindstrom, that would be pretty helpful for the rotation and the bullpen.
