  1. Thank you Gabe for last season. Enjoy being a part of Gabe squared again! The Rays are quickly becoming my favorite AL team.
  2. Epic....also, not yet mentioned, surprisingly, the 1987 Easter Sunday HR calls.
  3. Granted it's ESPN, but I heard this afternoon on the radio that the Yanks are considering trading either Nady or Swisher to the Nationals. I don't want that to happen.
  4. I'd rather have Pedro Feliz pitch for the Brewers next year than Pedro Martinez. Heck, maybe even Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite.
  5. The more I'm thinking about a Braun/Hart/Swisher OF, I like it. Or sign Abreu to play RF and trade Prince for pitching and play Swisher at 1st. There's some options and flexibility there.
  6. TH's updated blog says no club option. Just 2009. Works for me. I love it!!
  7. Ok....seriously.It's a prediction thread! I could say he's going to go 22-0 with 300 Ks, and I could be right, I could be wrong. I think he's going to be the ace of the team, and pitch like it. You can agree or disagree with me.
  8. 23-7 record and 278 Ks
  9. Enjoy when it's -10 outside!
  10. At least he's not on the Brewers.
  11. Currently watching "A Christmas Story". Great stuff!
  12. At least Prince won't be going to the Yankees when he hits free agency!
  13. Chuck E..........no wait. I'm out of ideas.
  14. Remotes, coffee mugs, whatever is closest to me.
  15. Snow is such a rare occurrence in Portland. I remember 5 years ago before I moved away from the Portland metro area, there was about 3-4 inches of snow followed by ice. Everything was shut down for 4 days, and I remember so many truckers being upset because nothing was done about the interstates.
  16. OK, I woke up this morning and it is COLD! Well, not Wisconsin-like cold, probably low 30's, but it's windy and cold! The good news is that by Christmas Day, it's going to be in the mid 70's. I'll take being in San Antonio this year and having 70s, versus being in Sheboygan (where I was the last 3 years) and have what's there currently.
  17. Again? Wow! That's a big deal in Portland to have snow.
  18. Hey, if Jamie Moyer got a 2 year contract at age 46, then there's hope for Cappy.
  19. Love it.
  20. Texas typically doesn't salt the roads, because usually a few hours after snow falls, it melts. No one slows down when it snows, so there's usually lots of accidents.
  21. That's huge! In January of '04, Portland had a major snow/ice event. I remember this because I flew back from Texas visiting my folks and wife (fiancee at the time) and we were mini golfing outside of Austin and it's 70's and I'm flying back to Portland and it's going to snow. The city was pretty much shut down for a few days, because God forbid they'd use salt out there! That would ruin the delicate balance of nature out there. Anyway...it's a big deal. Enjoy!
  22. I'm thankful we didn't get snow here in San Antonio, but a lot of other places got a bit of snow here in Texas. The cold and wind is bugging me, because I gave my winter coat to Goodwill when I left Wisconsin. Sure could've used it this week!
  23. Somewhere go brewcrew (the author of that amazing thread) is crying about Lou Palsmo not being Brwer anymore. Or, maybe he's posting on the Astros boards that their WOAHS are SOLVDD. Anyway, good luck Cap'n!
