  1. Sonic drive-in Golfing year round Not having to deal with winter
  2. Yes, and replace Ned Yost as the manager of the Brewers.
  3. Well, my hope is that he turns his anger and frustration at the situation into jacking about 70 dingers, playing amazing 1st base, and being the face of the franchise. To me, it would have been nice to throw a little extra his way, just to show that they'll make sure he's taken care of. I know there's more at play than that, but it still would be nice.
  4. Toss in that Jason Marquis wants to start and Pinella reacted as Pinella would and then apologized, this just goes to show that nothing is guaranteed in baseball.
  5. Bill Raftery has good insights, but his schtick is getting boring. I swear, every time I hear him, his call of man-to-man is incoherent and he just falls in love with his stupid phrases. Gus Johnson is a great college broadcaster. Clark Kellogg sure isn't bad at all.
  6. Agreed. Also underrated: Fried cheese curds College basketball Milwaukee Brewers
  7. Wear comfortable shoes and plan on doing lots of walking!!! You have my prayers.
  8. He's done. Why would anyone touch him right now? He can claim that there is collusion all he wants, but if I'm an owner right now, I don't care if he hit 70 HR last season, the PR nightmare, plus the legal drama surrounding him wouldn't be worth it. Why do you think Clemens left Astros camp? No one wants to be around either Bonds or Clemens right now. They're nuclear.
  9. I really hope that he puts it past him, and realizes his potential.
  10. The Cubs have had many bad things happen to them. Call it a curse, whatever. The Brewers haven't even been close to good the last decade, and we fans haven't been as bad as Cubs fans. Every year, we hear about how great the Cubs are and how THIS is their year. That doesn't make sense to me.
  11. My logic is in bold. Once again, they are the Cubs.
  12. I was a US Cellular user, and had absolutely no problem with them until we moved to Texas. They told us that we could either cancel both phones (for a $150 per phone fee) or move to Texas with them, and since we wouldn't be using 50% of our time in our home calling area, they could cancel the phones and still charge us the $150 fee. I understand business is business, but it was due to a job change that we moved, not that we wanted out of the phones for any other reason. And, our contract was supposed to end in August. So, I guess if you have any inclination that you may move out of the US Cellular area, don't go with them. We have AT&T now, and are liking their service.
  13. For burgers, we use Tony Chaceri's seasoning, which we found at Wal-Mart in Wisconsin. For steaks, my mother-in-law had found this seasoning that a guy named Bill makes at a grocery store here in Texas. WOW!! When it comes to BBQ ribs, which we had Saturday night, my mother-in-law and wife take BBQ sauce you get at the grocery store and spice it up with worcestershire sauce, mustard and a few other things. There's some GREAT flavor to it. We had ribs Saturday night (on the grill) and steaks and fish Sunday night (on the grill). It's nice to live in a climate that you can use your grill year round.
  14. Better for Wisconsin's chances to win the Big Ten
  15. So....they paid him $750,000 to go away? That's insane!! They're going to be in deep trouble with the NCAA, even with getting rid of him, and they STILL have to pay him to go away? That's unbelievable. But, good riddance.
  16. Just watched. It was cheesy, yes. The updated theme was good, not great, but good. It was quite predictable, but if they made into a series, would I watch? You bet. Kitt as a Mustang, eh, it is what it is. And as much as I liked Val Kilmer as the voice, the original Kitt voice was the best. I couldn't watch Boy Meets World without watching the teacher and thinking, THAT'S THE VOICE OF KITT!!!
  17. I just had this issue, and if you move can move your wireless router, try that. Otherwise, a new phone is probably going to be the easier way to go.
  18. I'm not a racing fan, but I was actually quite impressed with the end, especially the last 10 laps. I was a bit bummed that there weren't more crashes, but that's OK.
  19. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
  20. I DVR'd it, to be watched at a later date. Looked cheesy, but interesting.
  21. I listen mainly to Christian rock, and due to lyrics, to me, they'd NEVER be considered Christian rock. Many people felt Creed was because of their lyrics, and because Scott Stapp did say in interviews that he's a Christian and that was where the wonderings began. Nickleback is NOT Christian music in any size, shape or form.
  22. I give you Nickelback exhibit A, as to why I, as a musician and music lover have evil feelings toward Nickelback: I like your pants around your feet I like the dirt that's on your knees And I like the way you still say please While you're looking up at me You're like my favourite damn disease And I love the places that we go And I love the people that you know And I love the way you can't say no Too many long lines in a row I love the powder on your nose Ooooh And now I know who you are It wasn't that hard Just to figure you out And now I know who you are It wasn't that hard Just to figure you out I like the freckles on your chest And I like the way you like me best And I like the way you're not impressed, While you put me to the test I like the white stains on your dress And I love the way you pass the check And I love the good times that you wreck And I love your lack of self respect While you're passed out on the deck I love my hands around your neck And now I know who you are It wasn't that hard Just to figure you out And now I know who you are It wasn't that hard Just to figure you out I love your pants around your feet And I love the dirt that's on your knees And I like the way you still say please While you're looking up at me You're like my favourite damn disease And I hate the places that we go And I hate the people that you know And I hate the way you can't say no Too many long lines in a row I hate the powder on your nose And now I know who you are It wasn't that hard Just to figure you out And now I know who you are It wasn't that hard Just to figure you out Also, I saw the video for the new Santana song that Chad Kroger (lead singer of Nickelback) ruins. Take him off of it, and put ANYONE (well, mostly anyone) who can sing on pitch singing that, and it's much better. And what's with Kroger wearing sunglasses in the video? He looks like he came to the video shoot hung over and the director wanted to get the video shot and just had him put on the sunglasses.
  23. I know what I said, but I figured, since there not a whole lot interesting sports-wise on TV, I'd flip on Daytona. Especially with living in Texas, I should get acquainted. When did it turn into the Super Bowl with cheesy tribute concerts and crap 3 hours before the race starts? And when does the race itself start? edit: Guess it wasn't as Super Bowl-esque. They're getting ready to start now.
  24. Just like Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden and Steve Howe (to name a few). Great talents, but very, VERY addicted to something that could jeopardize his pro baseball career. My hope is he's surrounded by people telling him to lay off the weed, and focus on pitching.
