  1. Oops, I guess this should be merged. Just noticed other link. Still, Hart's overall stats for the season are below average. I think he is better than that, but his ceiling is pretty average in my opinion.
  2. I think it is time to say that Corey Hart is a solidly average baseball player. He has been overrated by our fans for long enough. He has a .200 OBP this month with zero homers! His OPS is .463! Even when he gets hits, they are either grounders in between short and third or bloopers that he is fooled on. I can't remember the last time he knocked one hard in the gap. I hope we offer him no extensions and possibly get him on the block for a 3rd starter in the off season.
  3. With Gallardo being ok'd to throw off the mound today, could he be involved in these scenarios?
  4. Mike and Mike ripping Yost's postgame comments about "keeping in the family" and :neighbor" comments. We are finally getting some national pub!
  5. Thank you, RLUZ. Agreed, although I would not sit Prince.
  6. I think everyone is passionate about their opinions now. Mine different from most others. I just think that Prince should be right back in lineup tomorrow. Why make more of a spectacle (check Ted Thompson et al) than it needs to be? He is also one of two hitters doing anything right now. "If" Parra was getting on Prince for his defense, heck, Prince had every right to get on Parra for again having a "blowup" inning. Should he have pushed him? No.
  7. I agree with the poster. I live in Chicago and I hate when people call them the "Cubbies." It is personally irritating. I also think adding a "y" or "ie" is pretty pathetic too. I am guilty of calling Braun the name of "Braunie" though from time to time. I definitely go for "Sheeter" over "Sheetsie" though.
  8. Rickie is my favorite player and he is a real good kid, but he needs to be platooned now. Ray Durham will give better production. Also, they should do a three man platoon with Hall, Branyan, and Counsell. Counsell can play against junk ball righties and curve and slider specialist. Branyan can play against fastball pitchers.
  9. Thanks...very interesting. September looking more and more possible.
  10. Mota for two innings in row? You are really asking for it then.
  11. Bush is fine. I have a big preference for him to be in over McClung. However, Hall is playing far too much now. Needs to play about 50%, not 90%.
  12. Today does not seem like our day. The reasoning...tough play in the sun and Cameron does not make it and Shoemaker does. We hit three rockets and have hit five on the game and nothing to show for it.
  13. Anderson's job no. I would need a year of schooling followed by a year of experience. However, I could do as well as Schroeder. He is cannon fodder.
  14. This is what concerned me about Inman. Seems to burn a lot of pitches. This is at AA too. Still thinks he tops out at #4/5 starter.
  15. Note to Ned. Every single ball except maybe first hit was hit harder than Mota pitched it. That is not a good thing.
  16. They are hitting absolute Rockets off of Mota. Why is he our 8th inning guy?
  17. Doesn't he have 5 years of service? Won't he have to agree to the option consent? He would be available to all teams with current contract. Trust me, no one would take him and if they did, Melving would have a grabber. He then would have the option to go to Triple A. If he refused, he would become free agent and forfeit his contract.
  18. His pitching couldn't possibly be as bad as his hitting right now. I have to say to everyone that argued with me in the past that Bill Hall is an awful baseball player. He simply cannot be allowed to play and should be DFA'd. Dont worry, no one would pick him up, and be sent to the minors.
  19. Weeks has a two run single with two outs to win a game by one against the Cardinals. He had a walkoff single in extra innings vs Reds. He also won a game with a triple in the eighth. Can any other player say that?
  20. When is the last time the Brewers scored a run after the 5th inning? I believe the whole road trip has been early runs and then they decide not to score anymore.
  21. No one really to blame out there but the players today. I have to get on Kendall for calling that Mota flatball to on an 0-2 count to Mauer though. Joe Dillon should never start again either. It just sucks that Bill Hall is complete garbage, but i would rather chance it with him so there is a presence out there.
  22. Dude, you really have a man crush on these guys. Let it go. They are Padres now...or San Antonio Stinkers or whatever.
  23. MassHaas will be thrilled to see Inman made it. His man-crush for him is huge.
  24. C'mon guys, this is our chance. We cannot bank on the coming years for necessarily anything. We are there at the midway point and I believe LaPorta for a 3 month rental (Sabathia) would be OK. I also believe we should keep Gamel instead strictly because he is left_handed. We would clearly be as good or better than the Cubs if we make that happen. I say to go for it...it has been 26 years, for gods sake.
