  1. I am so busy, with kids, life, work etc (like I am sure alot of other people are), sometimes it nice to relax and have a few cold ones and watch the game from start to finish. That being said it is nice to get the highlights when you don't just have 3 hours to watch a game. I guess its nice to have both as an option.
  2. it would make sense for the players, after the new CBA, there should be more potential to sign a larger deal to sign a 1 year deal. It is a risk, since you are betting on something that is unclear rather than taking the guaranteed money up front. Once fans are in the stands again I think owners will be more apt to spend anyway.
  3. I know its not TNT's job to cater to bucks fans but since I can only watch games on TNT and ESPN this season, sucks to have them cut away on a night they broke an NBA record.
  4. Rockets are paying him 41/3. So he better be decent. Bucks really don't have the cap room to pay him that. This seems like a non issue. He had a few bright spots while here but it was mostly in preseason and garbage time. I grant you he has improved, but as others said there is a reason he has bounced around so much
  5. if they move him, i would hope they get a corner IF and a SP. They seem obsessed with middle of the field guys in trades and the draft, which is fine, but you do need players at the corners too. Personally I hope its an arms race and the dodgers make a move for Hader, who seems to better match up with us tradewise. Rios / Beeter / another piece
  6. was in OK shape going into last nights game but my opponent had Diggs and rode him to the title. oh well.
  7. the difference in the 1st place schedule to the 4th place schedule will now be even larger, since the packers will have to play 3 1st place teams, that the rest of the division doesn't have to. Granted, non conference games do not count as much as conference ones, so loosing that 17th game isn't as massive of a deal as loosing a game in conference, but a loss is a loss. Also in the NFL there is no guarantee of future success in the following season. It gives the network another bunch of juicy matchups to put in primetime, so I am sure everyone is happy and really doesn't care that about the SOS difference.
  8. Very sad to learn of Brodie Lee / Luke Harpers passing over the weekend. Came out today that he has been pretty sick since October. I always thought he was very underrated / under utilized in WWE https://www.sescoops.com/2020/12/more-details-on-brodie-lees-passing/?fbclid=IwAR3pGAjBdpKef1E3gCoSSbFXf2ki3kVjf-dIMKwdYFl4qPM_i1Zgxb-QbTA
  9. I don’t know, Padres farm system is very good. Maybe they could pull it off too. They seem to be all in
  10. That is a huge price, but it’s hard to argue that he isn’t worth it
  11. Very impressed with Dillon tonight. I’m wondering how interested the packers will be in paying Jones. Next offseason they have to pay Alexander and probably savage the next. They gave bakhtiari a massive deal already this year. I still hope they could resign Williams at a cheaper salary. He is a great pass catching rb, and Dillon is a beast who doesn’t seem to be great at that yet.
  12. They looked like a very good team that had a pretty significant turn over, didn’t get much time to practice together and needs some time to gel. I think most bucks fans expected to start slow, but not really doesn’t matter since they have started hot the last 2 years only to fizzle out in the playoffs. I’m not concerned
  13. we have no idea how much Sinclair gets per subscriber. If there isn't that much demand as has been said by other members, then I do not think it would make sense for Sinclair to have a streaming service. If they get 2 dollars per subscriber, you would need 40% of current cable and streaming users to signs up for 5 dollars and 20% for 10. Also as a streaming service you could cancel after baseball season, so the user would pay only half the time. Its still confusing for me, why both parties can't come up on a reasonable deal. The benefit for Sinclair is that they would be guaranteed a monthly payment for every user no matter if they watch their channel or not. If ESPN / FS1 can reach deals, I don't think the issue is hulu / google.
  14. most of decisions for the championship are pretty cut and dry, but I am struggling with starting Hurts, Watson, or Herbert. I made the mistake of looking at every ranking I could find and there is no consistency in how they are ranked. Finally decided to live and die with Herbert. The Bills tore up the Broncos last week and he was awesome last week. Hurts had a great game last week but he still has 2 starts under his belt and the Texans are depleted. Still have Metcalf and Swift who have very tough matchups, but in the end I'm going with the date(s) I came to the dance with.
  15. He is on my roster and I'm playing him. I do agree that you are usually best just going with the best player regardless of matchup, unless its close. I think Metcalf is by far the best out of those 4. I'd go with him and Moore.
  16. made it to the championship, looking for 3 straight titles in a league that is pretty competitive. Need to find a RB to replace Akers. Too bad I had to cut Montgomery to clear a roster spot when he had his concussion. I put in a claim for Bell, or else I can put in Drake from my Bench. Other RB is Swift who could be trouble too with Buc's good run defense.
  17. wonder if it wasn't for the pandemic / loss revenue if Mark A would have looked into buying them.
  18. last year they did do an extension to cover the NBA, MLB, and NHL seasons. Frankly, I do not see how these services can survive without fox sports regional networks, since the cost savings is minimal and a major network that people enjoy is gone. I have hulu live and I'm good until April. The bucks are on national TV so often, i will get to see them more than enough.' Man, i miss the days of Midwest Sports Channel
  19. thats not really fair. the brewers have been trading prospects away for front line players and he was only in that position for 2 years.
  20. I’m glad they chose to go to one, will be good for Mertz. Personally, I get why teams like Nebraska and Minnesota are declining selections, but in a shortened season, it is great experience for your underclassman.
  21. i know he was the scouting director, but what does he do now?
  22. last year they did pay for some decent free agents. They did give Garcia 2/20MM, Smoak 1/5MM, Anderson 1/5MM. Yes they are throwing money out there (no team is). I think they are playing the long game, knowing that they could get decent free agents in February on 1 year prove it contracts.
  23. yes, and the brewers needed a place to play. Texas found a home in Round Rock that made sense. San Antonio was re-classified to double A, so the brewers took Nashville. There really wasn't that much reshuffling on the triple A level; a few teams reclassified, few indy teams becoming triple A, so the brewers options were pretty much Nashville or nothing.
  24. had to figure out Watson or Herbert again this week, chose Herbert only because he was facing the weaker defense and it seems like the right call. off to a good start facing the #1 seed in my league.
  25. funny he endorses a product that you can't watch the bucks on....
