Actually, wouldn't it be more than a week, since Wise can only pitch one inning every 2-3 days?

Yeah, well, at least a few games you'd think. Does Yost want to stretch out Wise and make him a once-a-week long man, giving Villy the job formerly held by Wise?

Wise gets multiple innings today so scouts from other teams can get a good long look at him.

...and the way he's started this inning looks like they might have already told him he's been traded - THROW STRIKES!

I like going with Wise for 2 here. He can't pitch tomorrow anyways, so why not try to save as much of the pen as possible. Even if they get 1 inning from a guy like Parra, that would leave Parra available again tomorrow

Gross has taken his walks and he's got power. The only reason he hasn't looked as good as he did earlier is he's not played much.

84 ABs is a very small sample size. With just four singles (rather than outs), he'd be at a .250 average, with the corresponding jumps in OBP and SLG.

This is not a rip on the author of the post but everytime I hear this phrases I start to cringe similar to when I hear:

"This NBA prospect has tremendous upside"

For a larger sample size I say send him back to AAA

Right now, one of the headlines on ESPN.com is "Slumping Brewers look to regroup vs. D-Backs" Slumping? really? I guess winning 4 of 5 is slumping these days. The team needs a collective slump buster according to ESPN.

Well, I think they are regrouping - Maybe someone will wake up at ESPN and realize that Milwaukee has been hovering about 0.5 games away from the NL's best record during their recent slump and actually write something intelligent.

"What does that say about Parra?"

Not nearly as much as it says about Yost, unless we hear that he's been dealt after the game. In which case I love it.
