Just got in from yard work to see JJ smoke an opposite field homer! If that is the key I will have the nicest lawn in AZ. Move over Biltmore!

Is that J.J.'s first homer to the opposite field this year?

I was thinking it might be his first ever in the Majors. In 2005, Hardy made the comment that he's a pull hitter. I can't remember him even having many doubles the other way...just line drive singles

In 2005 in the second half he hit a homerun (a grand slam I believe) at Cincinnati. He hit it to right center.

*Edit: If I am remembering correctly he may have even hit 2 HR that game. I remember catching the highlight on ESPN and the sports anchor said "Hardy just had the game of his life" or something close to that.

Turnbow will pitch the 8th. Ugh.

Against the middle of the Marlins order. Ugh.

At least he'll be facing Cabrera with the bases empty.

I thought the GS he hit was to right-ish. I wasnt positive though.

I don't know about you diehards like me, but I have NO confidence in turnbow. I would take them getting just a run this inning and getting to the 9th.

I remember that game against Cincinnati. Have to look it up on retrosheet.

NICE pitch by Turnbow. C'mon TWO MORE OUTS!

I have confidence in Turnbow. IMaybe I'm dumb though. Can't expect pitchers to be flawless all the time.

Thats 2 K's, doesn't look too bad to me right now.

Edit: ....typing as Hermida doubles.

I have confidence in Turnbow, what I don't have confidence in is Yost pulling Turnbow fast enough when he can't locate his curve.

Turnbow is fine. He's not some elite pitcher that will carry a sub 3.0 ERA but how many of those kind of relievers does a team typically have?

Ye Fans of little Turnbow faith! He sat them down in order One, Two, Double, Three )

(I had little faith too)

Mench showing his wheels!

Sadly I'd almost like to see Graffy bunt here since I think its more likely he hits into a double play than gets a hit at this point.

Edit : Pirates lose 5-4.

He didn't sit them down in order with the double in there.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

It's okay though, he didn't give up any runs so I'm fine with it.

Turnbow is really great when he can throw strikes and work the slider. When that's not working he has nothing else and he's very hittable.

Yost just has to keep the leash short with him and get him out of there when he can't throw a strike.
