Counsell's splits against Z look pretty good, and maybe we'll finally see Damian. He has a lot more experience than Estrada against Z.

 

Good to see Braun with 1.000 fielding percentage. I like it, Woogie.

Time to right the ship. I blame the jerseys for yesterday, anybody ever find the w-l records for those throwbacks? Woogie, your graphics are awesome, but the cubs streak is W1, and that's nitpicky, so keep up the good work. I love the Braun tracker.

I think Sheets has a chip on his shoulder about last year. I think he comes out and limits the Cubs to 2 runs over 7 and the offense gets Zambrano for enough to win it. GO crew!

That Braun tracker is pretty cool, 3 hits, 3 doubles, good start. Great job on the graphics by the way, they look awesome.

 

It's early, but we have to limit losing streaks(obviously). That's where Sheets comes in. I love watching him pitch

I'm guessing Sheets and Zambrano both go 8 shut-out innings with double-digit K's and the game goes into extra innings. I really can't see Zambrano having two bad starts in a row.

What surprised me was how good Derrek Lee and even Crazy Man have hit against Benny. Hopefully Benny show the Cubs what he showed the Dodgers on Opening Day.

I remember him shutting us down a couple years ago in his second start. The key is just to get to Crazy Man's head and we will be fine.

Prince seems to hit Zambrano well. Hopefully he gets it going today. I guess he has a four game hitting streak, but I can't seem to remember any of the hits other than the dinger. Quiet season so far for the big man.

Estrada took a couple hard fouls off the mask and body last night. kinda suprised that he isn't getting the day off and letting Miller play.

Couple of notes...

 

-The Cub$ lineup is scary good. Soriano, Lee, Ramirez are all-stars. And when guys like DeRosa, Izturis, and Barrett are hitting the ball...wow. I wish we could buy a winning team.

 

-I'm afraid Sheets will get hurt by the long ball a couple of times today. He is known for it and the Cubs have a lot of good fastball hitters.

 

-If we haven't done damage to Zambrano by the third inning, we're in big trouble. You can usually tell how his day is going to go by the first couple of innings.

 

We really need this one today...I'm worried about tomorrow's matchup with Brewer killer Wade Miller.
