How depressing, Brewerfan.net boards blocked at my new job

I started a new job a few weeks ago and at my office the message boards are blocked by web sense. It is quite sad, I suppose my productivity will go sky high at least but I probably would only log on during lunch anyway. Anyone else have this problem? It kind of stinks. It seems the only sites I can get to are major sites. Please share your frustrations here with me.

Thanks 2hoophead, I might try that but I don't want to try anything like that and get in any kind of trouble for it. We'll see, I was just surprised that a site like this would be blocked to begin with.

There are some ways to get around these things, depending on how it's blocked. I know that if I go to Brewerfan.net and click on the fan forum, it says it's blocked. But if I type the direct address in ( www.brewersfandemonium.yuku.com ), it works.

I initially went to the home page, then to the "Link Report" icon, than navigated to the main forum page, this beat my blocker. I just made that a favorite. It was blocked if I tried to click on the forum directly from the homepage

I have not tried to enter from brewerfan.net. I just typed the full address (brewersfandemonium.yuku.com) and it was blocked.

Madison, yes I should be working while at work and I do. I did mention that I just surf the net during my lunch hour.

I would probably go crazy if I weren't allowed to surf the net a little at work. It helps our the moral. I love my job but you do need a break every once in a while. Brewerfan is that break

this worked for me: I downloaded the Firefox portable from portableapps.com and then put the program on a flash drive. Then I take the flash drive to work, plug it into a USB port and away I go. For some reason our Norton Internet security at work blocked most of Brewerfan when I used IE on the hard drive, but the Firefox portable works flawlessly off the flash drive. I still wonder how the Norton doesn't even "see" it.

Clicking through on the Link Report worked for me. I have been here for a year and this is my first day logging onto the Boards. My computer at home blew up 3 weeks ago so I have been reading things on my Wii or my cell phone since then. This is much better.
