I think they'l look to trade the arbitration-eligible Davis this off-season.

Do we have to bring this guy back to our rotation next year? A month or two of struggles was understandable, but a whole season's worth is tough to take at this point.

 

We have got to start playing better on the road if we are to have any chance. Teams generally play better at home, but the disparity shouldn't be as much as it is with us. Realistically, with 66 losses, we can only afford about 11 more on the season to have a shot at the playoffs. (85-77)

I doubt it, as Melvin doesn't seem big on trading low. Unless they're convinced Davis' 2006 is a sign of legitimate decline instead of an off-year, he'll be back, IMO.
