unfortunately, we are a bit short on gods on our team . . . . Fielder is pretty close, but he's a rookie.

 

Sheets will have to do for now, cause it is highly unlikely we'll ever get a Johan Santana, Randy Johnson (in his prime), Dwight Gooden (circa 1985), or Bob Gibson.

I am as frustrating as anyone about Sheets. I cant tell you how much I hear from coworkers about how Sheets never pitches. I still defend him because I believe that injuries are just bad luck and that things will turn in Ben's favor in the future.

But how much could Helling have left anyhow? He hasn't been sharp as it is. I just don't think passing that chance up is worth having Helling pitch one more inning.

Well we pretty much only have 1 IP types left in the pen and they need to finish out this game and be around for the next one. I don't really see how Yost had much choice.

He's only pitched two innings, so he should have a few left. And he's looked fine in those two.
