Wow, nice to see the next closest team to Milwaukee besides St. Louis and the Mets is Florida who is 10 games back! The less teams we have to worry about the better. Let's get the sweep tonight boys.

Phil Cuzzi behind the dish tonight. I would expect a frustrating night with the umpire. At least we get out of town before having Layne.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I'd love to put another beatdown on the Cards and bury their postseason hopes tonight

Well, at least throw a couple more scoops of dirt on them. Still too early to bury them yet.

It's at least getting up to their waist by now thou.

Cuzzi has it in for the Brewers (among others)...no doubt. This is by far the worst umpiring crew in MLB. I missed the game last night, but reading last night's thread and seeing all the ump comments were no surprise after finding out who was there.

We'll see at least one ejection tonight.

this being the last game of the year between these 2, it wouldn't be surprising if someone gets thrown at or something. That being said, I'm surprised that nobody on our team got hit last night when we had put the game away.

I liked the part last night where the Brewers scored a lot of runs and the Cardinals really didn't. No, they really didn't at all. I liked that part. Let's do that again.

so what was the status last night of the Untuckemgate?

i was scanning through the JS's blog comments (the shame, the horror; guilty as charged) where someone mentioned shirts remained tucked last night?

what gives?

Lineup per TH:

2B Rickie Weeks

SS J.J. Hardy

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

RF Corey Hart

CF Mike Cameron

3B Craig Counsell

C Jason Kendall

LHP Manny Parra

Most of the guys had their shirts untucked per usual, IIRC.

You're right. It's really chapping some folks down here in StL. Apparently some sports caster took of his coat and untucked his shirt at the end of his sports cast, mocking the Brewers.

Posted
The Cards announcers seem to have a particularly hard time with Untuckedness, as would my late grandmother. There seems to me to be a lot of tsk-tsking done when you're on the losing end, be it at home run styling or sartorial norms. I don't think we're in any danger of gaining anything like the bad reputation had by the Cubs or their fans, but even if we did, thumping the stake in the heart of the Cardinals playoff chances is worth it. (And you know who they'll come rooting for if the Cubs manage to make it to the NLCS).

While for the most part loyal and classy, the Cards fans seem to view themselves as some type of baseball royalty and frown upon those who refuse to kiss their ring or be beaten by it. The lowly peasants have awoke and it's time to end their season...Untuck 'em boys, untuck 'em.
Posted
I may have been mistaken, but I swear I heard mock cheering from the best fans in baseball last night. Nah, couldn't have been.
Posted

The best part was "the best fans in baseball" pretty much abandoning their team in the later innings. There was barely anyone left in the park to give the Bronx cheers in the 9th inning.

As far as tonight goes, my hopes for the 2-game sweep increased dramatically when I saw the lineup LaRussa is putting out tonight:

SS Izturis

CF Mather

1B Pujols

RF Ludwick

3B Glaus

C Molina

LF Stavinoha

P Wainwright

2B Lopez

The Brewers untucked em again. And hope they continue to, for people to make a big deal of it is just crazy. But I guess the Cards need something to complain about. Considering how we have been waxing the floor with them, in their own back yard.

I don't recall if this was my least favorite umpiring crew or the one with Eddings was.

Yup, it is this one. Crew K.

Question, this is the first game I am able to watch in HD on Charter. Right now I'm getting the black bars on the sides of the TV, I take it the pregame is NOT in HD? And when the game starts I will get a full screen of HD awesomeness?
