Stupid question...How did he get that nickname?

Because the little hair on his chin looks like it was drawn on with a Sharpie, I believe

but in baseball I think its more of a coincidence.

I'm pretty sure there's stats that back this up across every sport.

Still, he's having a gigantic year so far.

Just got on... where's Russ? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Jeff Cirillo and first base is like a fine wine- when brought out on rare occasions, it's exquisite.

Look at Hawing's icon. She thought it looked like someone drew it on with a Sharpie, so she gave him that nickname.

Randomness: I found this article while surfing during the game and I thought it was funny.

From the Sharpie-esque facial hair he was rockin when he first joined the Crew - in other words, it looked like it was drawn on by a black Sharpie marker.

Let me say that as the proud owner of a Rickie Weeks jersey shirt, that I LOVE this kids potential, but am very concerned by his inability to do much in the way of anything at all at the plate right now.

People don't like me because I think JJ is crap and Billy should start...I may be wrong, BUT I THINK NOT!!!!

Actually, that's not why I don't like you. I can add it to the list though. I'd say the looking for arguments all the time would be what irritates me. Troll-like behavior is not a good thing.

I know there's examples of guys having big seasons in their contract year, Beltre being the best example I can think of, but if you're going to say a player performs better when they know something's on the line, in this case money, then doesn't that mean that you have to admit that "clutch hitting" exists?

This is the type of CRAP that happens to us on the west coast. You can mark it down, we will lose this game in the bottom of the ninth on a Dave Roberts bloop single. I've seen it a million times...it's the same old song and dance EVERY time we go out west.

So, when Doug begins to "feel it," can we all just be silent about it? Thanks.

PS: Not a cheap shot at you ElCaballo, just being crass.

I blame Daron Sutton for this. He had just finished saying "Davis back to the form of old" (or something like that). D2 then imploded.
