Atta boy Brauny.

Without having a second look at the play at home, I'd tend to think Counsell went around the tag.

I thought to myself, "There's no way we get another safe call on a play where the throw beats the runner, even if he was really safe."

Ha. BA was just running down the list of voting options for the text-in question, "Who is the best 1B in Brewers history?"

Choices are (W) George Scott, (X) Cecil Cooper, (Y) Richie Sexson, (Z) Prince Fielder.

BA, in reading the list, said, "...Cecil Cooper, and Y is Richie Sexson..." For a second, I thought he was going to say, "...and why is Richie Sexson on the list," which is what I was thinking.

Look at all those Dodger fans with their hats on during the National Anthem....how classy. If only we were playing in St. Louis...

Also, am I the only one that was rubbed the wrong way during that kid's performance? Especially that whole spiel after the word 'foam'.

It gave me awkward goosebumps.

EDIT:

This kid sucks.

Thank God I'm not the only one that thinks so...

You don't really have to take your hat off for God Bless America. I know I never do. And that performance was really...awkward.

I just thought it was an "un-written rule." I mean, they don't announce "Gentlemen, please remove your caps" for nothing....it's just a form of showing respect I guess.

At Miller Park, they don't say anything about caps before God Bless America - only before the national anthem.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I guess my ignorance is due in part to not having been to a game in so long. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Yep. I don't take my hat off for God Bless America because it isn't the national anthem, and it's important to recognize the symbolic difference between the two songs. That's just me, I guess.

Good work from Coffey.

I know it hurts our chances of winning, but I'd love to see Man-Ram get beaned.

And have Coffey get immediately ejected and possibly suspended? With the incident yesterday, I'd want no part in that....at least for tonight.

On another note, thank goodness we got out of that.

I remember that they let that coin company sponsor God Bless America last year. Kind of hard to ask people to remove their hats when you are getting $ from the song, lol.

Plus he looked like like borat with that shirt on.

I don't take my hat off either, pretty much for that exact reason, so you're not the only one.
