How about Bonds for left field.

I don't think that it will cost too much to sign him, and the payoff could be huge. It says in an article on www.mlbtraderumors.com that the Brewers are not one of the teams that are out of the running for him. I'm not sure what that means. I would be absolutely amazed if he came here, but how would everybody feel if we somehow landed Bonds? I would also be pretty excited about it.

Not cheap, but I think he'll sign for around 10-12 million for one year. I think he would draw a ton of people to Miller Park for various reasons.

Assuming he's actually able to play most of the season, if Jenkins gets $7M, Bonds for $10M is the steal of the decade.

He's more than pay for himself in terms of additional revenue....which is something Jenkins or most others cannot say.

Prince would knock him in the teeth if he didn't hustle before a popout was dropped.

I have a feeling that he would be rejected if he pulled some of the crap he pulled in San Fran.

I really think that it is worth the risk. To have him break the home run record in Milwaukee would be pretty cool. Plus we wouldn't have to give up any draft picks, and he would make the middle of our order look very formidable.

....and there alot of Brewers fans complaining that Carlos Lee didn't have any range out in left field. At least he has more than Steriod Man. I do NOT want to see Bonds in Milwaukee as our left fielder or as an opponent's left fielder.

I understand that the publicity would be nice, but I don't want the stigma of having one of the biggest controversies (steriods) in Milwaukee.

i would be beyond ecstatic if Bonds came here. I would purchase season tickets and cheer my rear end off. I know his D is terrible, but man would he look nice in the middle of the order.

I would not want to see him break Hank Aaron's record in any uniform, let alone a Brewers uniform.

He's one of the few guys in baseball that I hate so much that I'd still hate him as a Brewer.

No thank you, a million times.

During the last four games at Miller Park, Barry Bonds looked terrible on defense. The Brewers were able to put together several big rallies thanks to the lack of range shown by Barry Bonds. He couldn't get to routine flyballs, and he could not cut the ball off in the gaps. He literally killed the Giants' pitching staff as the Brewers swept the series and scored a ton of runs in the process.

I think Barry should go to the American League and become a DH.

It's my hope that Bud Selig has the owners colluding to make sure he doesn't hit another home run in the major leagues, thusly preserving Henry Aaron's record as it should be.

Wow, I am torn on this one. I do not like Bonds as a human being. But I like the Brewers very much and want them to succeed and get to the next level. So, would I be willing to suck it up to cheer on this guy for a year? Maybe. And here is why:

1 ) Weeks-2B

2 ) Hardy-SS

3 ) Bonds-LF

4 ) Hall-CF

5 ) Fielder-1B

6 ) Hart-RF

7 ) Estrada-C

8 ) Koskie-3B

Pretty nice lineup.

It makes me want to cry that this topic is even being seriously discussed.

This is not only the worst human being in sports, this is just a plain, outright horrible person.

Not only is this not going to happen, there's a 0% chance this happens. Please lock this thread!

worst human in sports? Leonard Little of the Rams killed a mother of 3 in a drunk driving accident, then got another DUI about 2 years later. Sorry but wife beating, vehicular manslaughter, rape, robbery, and other various debaucheries committed by many in sport are far worse offense then not being a nice person.
