We received our order of Girl Scout Cookies and half our order of Brewers tickets, all in one day. What is not to love about that?

The Brewers will no longer be supplanted by the Bucks on FSN. Being outside of Milwaukee with no access to Extra Innings, I hated the Bucks being on TV over the Brewers. Bye, Bye, Bucks and your losing ways. Hello Brewers and your (hopefully) winning ways!

Not having Dusty Baker as our manager. All Ned issues aside, at least he isn't Dusty reaking havic on our young players.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

We just got back from being out of state for six days, and I expect our cats to be practically Velcroed to me tonight.

(I missed them, which is why this is in the "what's NOT bugging you" thread.)

Being done with school for the summer and the fact that I posted the same thing at the end of fall semester. Just can't get enough of breaks off of school.

Studying for a classical Greek mythology final I have tomorrow -- I'm not a Classics major or anything, but I do really enjoy the source material for some reason. It's provocative and different than some garden-variety story.

I'm going to the Brewers game monday and Doug Davis is pitching for Arizona. This is awesome because:

1) Doug Davis is cool and fresh off his cancer treatment.

2) I won't have to watch Brandon Webb or Dan Haren baffle the Brewers.

leading the WC race.

the Cubs still using their bullpen too much, setting the stage for a catch-up.

I'm as excited for the second half of the season as I was for Opening Day.

any additional fear we can put into Cubs fans is a good feeling, too.

Selling 80 long boxes of comics. some lo$$, but glad to have those out of my apartment, definitely. also not the extreme loss I could have incurred.

just accepted into Grad school for the Fall.

my last day of work tomorrow! hoo-rah. it was the most awful thing ever and i've finally cut that noose.

what'll I do Monday morning? sleep until I'm tired no more.

now full-time student, part-time poker player, and that's going to be a lot of fun.

my student loan should be paid within a year of becoming employed.

burned a cigarette hole in my good dress pants today, but i won't need dress pants again for a very long time.

of course i hope not, but even if the Brewers got swept in the NLDS, i'd sure be happy they even made it.

Has anything decent happened around here lately?

My Morning Jacket put on an absolutely epic show at the Riverside last night. A three hour set! They might very well be the best live band around and I'm fairly convinced this was the best concert I've been to. Any band who employs a guitarist equally good at electric guitar, pedal steel, and saxophone, and whip them all out on the same set, just can't go wrong.

I've been looking forward to seeing these guys in concert for several years now, and they still managed to exceed all my expectations. I am now convinced that Jim James is the anti-Sveum.

That is all.

I gave notice this morning, after 13 years at this job.

- New place offered a nice 18% raise.

- Was able to keep my three weeks vacation.

- No more Michael Scott for a boss.
