Bloody hell, how does Lilly only have 70 pitches this far into the game? At this rate he can pitch into the 11th...if the BP doesn't blow it on our side. Is this a sign that the team is starting to give up or is Lilly just throwing tempting pitches?

We have a perfect guy for the 2 spot, but for some reason he's bats 8th.

 

Weeks has only attempted 5 steals this year. It would be nice if we could get a guy that could take a few pitches when he's on.

Guys are swinging to early in the count. Need to work him a little more is all. He's pounding the strike zone though.

Lilly isn't pitching all that great. Just cruises right through Fielder, Braun, and McGehee. Each of them had at least two good pitches to crush. Pretty embarrassing, actually.

I would say that embarrassing is a perfect word to sum it up. I mean Ted Lilly is a nice pitcher, but he is just mowing down what is a pretty good offense and they are no putting up much of a fight, spare for Weeks who has 2 hits. But our 3,4,5,6 hitters have looked pretty bad.
