Man, this has to be like the Brewers getting beat by Wes Helms. Definitely sweet to win a game they had no business winning with the way they swung the bats for the first 7 or so innings.

I got home in time to see the 9th inning--I think I saw all the important parts of this game. Beating the Cubs always feels great, no matter where we are in the standings!!!

The Cubs suck as much as the Brewers but for twice the price!
That's really not fair. It's only 1.596 times the price!

Axford now has more wins than Ted Lilly.

Taunting is not my usual M.O....but tonight is different. Thank you, Casey!

Props where props are due: Cory Provus did not sound like a deep-down inside Cubs fan when he called the run-scoring plays tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Seriously, I know this game doesn't change the big picture much, but it's nice. Real nice!

Well I think its because of several things...A) its a win B) its a win against the scrubs C) it was a walk-off and D) the tieing and winning runs were driven in by somebody the scrubs let go.

Whats not to love about this game.

and E) Yo pitched 7 scoreless

This was a fun game to be at. Both Gallardo and Lilly were dealing. I spent most of the first few innings trying out my new camera. As the game got late the "Let's Go Cubbies!" chants started and the scoreboard malfunctioned. I think we should make the entire team watch the little league video regarding how to bunt, because apparently the only guy who can ever bunt is Braun when he bunts for base hits. Clutch hit by McGehee. It was nice to get a win against the Cubs and quiet the Cubs fans.

thablingster, what was the fan ratio like (cubs vs. Brewers), as far as you could tell? The announced attendance was 30082.

Hawing, being optimistic I'd say 50/50, but it was probably 55/45 Cubs fans. I'm sure the rain kept a lot of walk up ticket buyers away. Due to the pitching duel the crowd was quiet for the first 7 innings. Now, for a few photos. Keep in mind I was in 424 and wanted to try out my new camera's zoom. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The scoreboard is kinda broken. The entire left side didn't work at all after Roll out the Barrel. They tried, but it continued to fail. Eventually they just had the score including ball/strike/out count on the out of town scoreboard in left field.

Gallardo, hero number one on this night.

Corey Hart, hero number two.

McGehee, the final hero.

I took a ton of pictures, but I don't want to spam the thread. Overall, I'm happy with how they turned out. Some are just user error, haha.

Best moment of the season so far. We haven't had much to cheer about, so this was really awseome.

Good thing Marmol's an idiot, or the Brewers would have lost. Why did he catch Gomez's bunt? Gomez was just standing in the box. He had an easy double play if he just lets it drop. It looked like that's what the 3rd baseman was trying to do.

I don't think he was watching the last play. He said Fielder slid to win the game when he didn't. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I agree olliegjw, Gomez could very easily be public enemy number one this morning as he never even got out of the batters box. Hopefully Cain pans out and Gomez isn't a part of this team in a year or two.
