Looks like Lucroy's throwout preserved the tie, at least. Hopefully his defense the past couple days encourages Macha to give him more of a chance. I like Kottaras' bat, but you have to imagine his defensive problems are starting to drive Macha a little batty.

Wolf complained to the media about Lucroy's game calling ability, of course it's hard to know the pitcher's game plan when you're brand new to the show. I'd like to see him get more starts.

I don't know for sure if Wolf went to the media, but I read about the Wolf/Lucroy problem in an article online. I didn't see the game so it could be that it was just describing the on field problems.

 

On an unrelated note, Julio Franco was batting cleanup for us the last time we played the Rangers (edit: in Milwaukee) back in 1997. Yikes.
