I don't know why you would waste your best pinch hitter on a sacrifice bunt attempt. With Doumit catching and this team's inability to get a bunt down, Escobar probably should've been allowed to run during Inglett's AB. Instead, Macha burns Inglett by keeping the bunt sign on even with two strikes.

 

Hopefully that's not the last chance they get to even this game up.

If you're going to bunt, why not use a pitcher.

Honestly. He did this earlier in the year when the bench was short and he had Counsell pinch hit to bunt... and ended up having to hit a pitcher (Wolf?) the next inning with two guys on.
