"Welcome to Minute Maid Park, where tonight the Milwaukee Brewers will take on the Round Rock Express!"

Pence out, Berkman out and possibly being traded to the Yankees. Needless to say, if Manny struggles again he can't blame a strong opponent.

Why does NYY need Lance Berkman? Is it their gaping hole at 1B or at DH?

And dang it, Corey cut his hair. He almost always does better as shaggy Corey.

For those of you following from home (which is probably a lot of us)...the chat room is not operational. Do not change your password if you try to enter and are told "Wrong password!" - that's a Yuku problem. If I can figure out what to do, I'll post here again.

Chat room is working fine for me now.

It still isn't for me. Other Yuku boards are reporting the same problem (some members getting the wrong-password message, others not).

Of course, there has been no response from Yuku.

Pretty ugly game thus far. 4 runs for an Astros lineup that makes the Marniers look like an offensive juggernaut.

From Haudricourt's twitter:

How much longer are the Brewers

going to allow Carlos Gomez to waste at-bats that Lorenzo Cain could be

getting? It's an absolute shame.

http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif ... sadly, there is some truth to his statement. Gomez still tries to air the place out way too often. He needs to be okay with being Juan Pierre/Nyjer Morgan/Otis Nixon at the plate and let the hits come.

For what it's worth, the chat room appears to be operational at present. No promises for continued success.

If he could take a walk more than once every 2 weeks or so, I would agree. Unfortunately for the Brewers (trade wise, it will be a fortunate day when he is out of their hair) I think he's going to be out of baseball in a few years because he has very little use in the major leagues. Or he'll be a Corey Patterson speed replacement off the bench. Something tells me Patterson isn't as much of a tool as Gomez though.

My old college roomate from the Twin Cities told me Gomez is the most frustrating player he has ever watched. After Gomez had that nice opening day I thought I might have the last laugh. I couldn't have been more wrong. I hate Gomez!

How is Carlos Gomez a tool?

Bat flipping on a fly ball 20 feet short of the fence, trotting the bases like a king when he hit a homer to put us down 15-3 vs. the Twins, saying that he would see this as a successful season if "he got hot and got that average up to .260" mind you, he has a sub .300 career OBP.

Posted
How does that make him a tool? Is he the only one that has ever flipped his bat? He does it EVERY TIME not just on home runs. Is there a reason why that bothers you so much?
