Today is Axford bobbehead day, looks like a nice crowd today, why is it that it always seem that the Brewers have to play at home on Easter Sunday. If it wasn't Easter today's game most likely be sold out.

Very happy to see Boggs starting over Almonte. Good thing Roenicke realizes he's better than him. Nieves starting is for two reasons. It's a day game after a night game, and Wolf is starting. Lucroy and Wolf have just never meshed. Oh well, at least Rickie is back too.

Really, he has pitched more innings and posted a better ERA than Yovani each of the last two seasons. You think Yo is a good pitcher right?

He actually is rather good. His FIP for 2008-2010 3.62, 3.54, 3.50. Houston should have traded him by now.

Wandy is average overall: average fastball with below average movement, plus curveball, average change up that breaks away from righties

 

He's really a flyball pitcher which we should exploit, and you can get in his head

the past 3 years Rodriguez has had a solid ERA (that matchues up with his FIP), a K/9 above 8 and averaged about 3.5 WAR per year. He's probably not an ace on most teams, but I don't know in what world those numbers are "really not that good"

3 yr/$34 million with a 4th year option. bought out one or two arbitration years, I can't remember how many he had left.

Career Home ERA 3.48. Away ERA 5.06. His home park clearly helps him. Sure it has a short porch right down the left field line, but the rest of the walls are extremely deep. Last year, Minute Maid was the third best pitcher's park in the league behind Safeco and Tropicana.

6,7,8 is once again pretty brutal tonight. Any time you can get a win with 2 or 3 AAAA players in your lineup it is a huge bonus. With that said GO CREW!

Wolf looks aggressive and strong again...getting a lot of the plate with that fastball though, hopefully that doesn't start biting him

Wolf with a lot of pitches. Not to be pessimistic, but I don't like our bullpen's odds. No one is healthy or performing well enough.
