Doubt that even Roenicke would call for Braun to bunt with nobody on. Odds are he did it on his own, trying to get out of his slump.

Right...poor thinking by both of them.

I wasnt trying to imply it was Ron. My bad.

I don't mind taking a shot there considering Gomez was going to be out anyways. I'm impressed that Carlos held up and didn't just run into the out at 2nd like I feel like he's done a couple of times this year.

More aimless running into outs, instead of giving Weeks a chance with runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Edit: on second thought, Gomez would have been out at 2nd.

I don't think it was that bad of an idea for Lucroy to try and score. Gomez was going to be out on that play eventually anyway, so you might as well try and score a run while he's in a rundown.

Just because Sedar sent him doesn't mean Lucroy should of went.

Players generally go when their coaches tell them to. That's why they are there.

Sedar with a good decision to send Lucroy there. The only reason it sounded crazy was the Cardinals choice to throw home instead of just tagging out Gomez or turning the double play the conventional way by going to second base first. If somehow Gomez was able to avoid the tag and get into second, we could have stolen a run there. That's the type of aggressive base running that we should be seeing.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

When your third base coach is yelling at you to go, as you round third you run home. What did you expect him to stop and take a long look to make sure Sedar wasn't lying to him?

What happened?
Narveson hit into what would have been an inning ending double play with Gomez at 1st and Lucroy at 2nd. The ball was hit to the 2nd baseman and Gomez held up and ran for 1st when the 2nd baseman tried to tag him. 2nd baseman threw to Pujols for the force on Narveson. As all this was happening Lucroy rounded 3rd and headed for home, ultimately getting thrown out by Pujols on a play at the plate.

It was more of a tongue in cheek statement after the Hamilton situation earlier this year

Ah my bad. Haha, didn't catch that. Well played sir.
