Braun with some more SB padding. And no Bill, that is NOT a big steal. That's why the Dodgers didn't care.
If the Dodgers are not going to play it, might as well take it.

It's not a strike, but that pitch has been called a strike more often than not tonight. I'm not shocked to see it a called strike at this point.
Agreed. Just looked like one of the more egregious examples.

It's not like he's padding his stats to get a big contract.

It makes the chances of scoring any runs go from 22.3% to 26.3%. Not that big but why not if they are giving it to you for free.

Exactly. It's not "big," or anything to get excited about, but Braun would have had the chance to score on a wild pitch/passed ball, a balk, an infield single, or an infield error.

This is one of those starts that seems like an awful one for Wolf. Sure he's only given up 2 runs but he allowed 9 baserunners in 5+ and a lot of his outs were hit hard. Plus he threw a ton of pitches and worked incredibly slow.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

At this point, don't you have to stand on top of the plate in order to reach that strike 6 inches off the plate?

Doesn't there come a point where, no matter how good of defense you play, your bat is so horribly bad that you play yourself out of the lineup? Sheesh Gomez.

Betancourt would be the first to go by far then.

No, especially considering it is being mentioned in a game where we have no runs and few hits. The offense as a whole has been awful with guys on tonight. And I thought it was only that he was batting in the 2 hole?

Wow. 119 pitches for Wolf. I'm not too worried, but that is a heck of a load for a guy struggling that hard all night.
Scully said Wolf went to 3-ball counts against 10 batters and those 10 batters accounted for something like 64 pitches.

I can't disagree with that.

What a throw by Braun, wow.
