Lincecum tossed an absolute gem Saturday against Oakland in his first shutout of the season, the fifth of his career. The right-hander scattered three hits, walked no batters, struck out six and, at one point, retired 21 straight.

I like pitchers' duels, and I hope this one lives up to the hype. Ideally, this would be one of those "electric crowd" nights. Go Brewers!
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Lincecum has lost four games and his ERA is just above two. That's incredible. And now they've lost Posey for the year. Of course now that I've said something, they'll probably score 30 runs this weekend.

With Wilson on the Brewers and Tejeda on the Giants the near impossible will happen and there will be 2 shortstops in the major leagues in the same building at the same time worse than Betancourt.

Love the fact that this year, the Brewers can face Lincecum-Sanchez-Cain in a series and not be at a huge disadvantage. Long gone are the days of throwing Suppan against Lincecum.

I will be OK with 1-2 this series, happy with 2-1, and estatic with another sweep. Even though the Giants offense looks pathetic without Posey and Kung Fu Panda, it would be a huge stretch to think we could sweep through Lincecum, Sanchez, and Cain. There might not be 20 runs scored between the two teams for the entire series.

I think this is the most hyped I've been for a non-Opening Day Brewer game since '08. 6 game winning streak and a fantastic pitching match-up, I can't wait!

What is the difference between this:

A Torres CF .275 .363 .438

E Burriss SS .320 .320 .320

F Sanchez 2B .294 .344 .406

A Huff 1B 4 .215 .271 .337

C Ross RF .245 .333 .378

A Rowand LF .246 .294 .366

M Tejada 3B .221 .242 .285

E Whiteside C .185 .267 .370

and this:

R Bernadina CF .247 .304 .329

I Desmond SS .230 .259 .368

J Werth RF .254 .350 .452

L Nix LF .306 .333 .546

M Morse 1B .281 .303 .447

D Espinosa 2B .200 .301 .394

I Rodriguez C .205 .256 .342

J Hairston Jr. 3B .248 .312 .357

Obviously Big-Time-Timmy-Jim makes a huge difference but I like our chances against that lineup.

Haven't seen the Crew's lineup yet, but I'll take the liberty to lodge the first complaint.

Was at a miserable game against the Giants last season in early July. Sanchez was there to be beaten and the Brewers just let him off the hook. Escobar had a bad error. Posey had a real nice game; one of those games where you get to see in person that the new guy is a ballplayer. The Giants just worked the Crew that whole series and I think it was at that point last season when I knew they were just playing out the string. High point: great seats, got a foul ball of the bat of Pat Burrell.

Time to turn that series around and stamp the momentum permanently turned in the other direction this season.

2B Rickie Weeks

RF Corey Hart

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

3B Casey McGehee

C Jonathan Lucroy

SS Yuniesky Betancourt

CF Nyjer Morgan

P Shaun Marcum

I wish Morgan was 2nd and Hart 5th because I think the 8 hole wastes Morgan's ability to steal a base. However I don't think Yuni can hit 8th because he would get himself out when they are trying to work around him to get to the pitcher.

Ive been looking forward to this matchup for a while now.

I like Hart in the two-spot rather than Morgan. RRR won't call for a sac bunt in the first inning this way.

Actually, you make a great point there. Happy with the lineup now!

I sense a first inning sac bunt upcoming.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

This game is MLB.tv's "free game of the day", for anyone interested.

I've been out of the country for 2 weeks and missed all of the winning. Hopefully I don't jinx the streak.

If we lose you will have to be deported. Sorry.

I feel more confident in getting a "W" when Marcum is pitching than any other starter we have right now. Go get 'em Bulldog!
