Enjoy it for what it's worth. Rickie is OPSing 110 points higher than Albert Pujols so far this season. For those who have watched Rickie all season, that's pretty hard to fathom.

And costing waaaay less this year and over the next 9 seasons after this one.

 

Granted, over those 9 years Pujols is likely to put up better numbers.. but I'm still enjoying seeing him struggle. He was part of that St. Louis conspiracy. Players are way better in St Louis for some reason. Of course, Pujols could have been great anyway.. but it should make you think..

Did anybody else get the sense that they're not exactly comfortable with the situation, i.e. realize Izturis just won't cut it? Something about the tone of his voice seemed uneasy, and he mentioned that they are indeed looking into things.

I definitely got that sense too. It seemed like Mark was hinting at maybe acquiring some help from teams looking to unload contracts. But he makes a good point that there are a lot of players on this team under performing at this point.

Rickie and Corey both need a day off badly. Cueto going tomorrow is great time for it.
