way to go twirling your bat still when he throws the pitch weeks lol

At least he avoided twirling his bat and hitting a teammate in the face.

Why wouldn't the Cubs challenge this, nothing to lose. Replay sucks, excitement sucked out of big plays

Technically, they're not challenging because they can't from the 7th inning on. This replay "comes from above."

Woo hoo! 18-6, and ESPN will have our game at the 55 minute mark of their hour long Sportscenter.

Nah, they have to pile on Braun for hitting Segura in the head. It will be in the 5 minute mark. Zero mention of the Brewers winning though.

Updated on Segura: no concussion, no fracture, just some stitches.

Sounds like a day-to-day thing to me.

ugh really braun? I know he doesn't try to injure himself but could we have only one nagging injury a year please?

Going to my first game of the year tomorrow. At least our B lineup still looks better than the Cubs. Unless Braun or Segura go on the DL tonight that is an extremely short bench tomorrow. Yikes. Might need to have a couple pitchers ready for action as fielders or hitters

Well another good win but boy did we pay for it. Hope everyone is alright.

I agree. It's always nice to win, regardless, but this was a pyrrhic victory of sorts. We won the game, but with Jean's injury and Braun's strain it takes some of the elation away.

I also thought the Brew left runs on the base paths...again. I get the whole 'being aggressive on the base paths' strategy that is RRR's identity, but you can't keep leaving runs out there...good team will make you pay. That said, winning cures all and it provides a nice cover for mistakes and so forth.
