Brewers announce new "Timeless Ticket"

That seems like a silly purchase. It's a single seat, and at $1000, the only game that could be worth it would be a Game 7. And as a single seat, you're not guaranteed to be near your friends.

And as a collectible, what desk ornament is worth $1000?

So it's $1000 for 1 ticket to go to any game Brewer home game you want? They do realize this is the Milwaukee Brewers and not the New York Yankees, right? Are they going to announce how few of these they actually sell?

weird timing of this announcement for a franchise that seems (in the opinion of many) to be drifting without direction

There's a limited edition of 1000, and I would be surprised if they sell 50.

But I could be wrong.

There's got to be more to it. It just seems so dumb.

It might be worth buying if they made it out of a non-worthless metal that you could scrap after you redeemed your ticket.

It is also subject to ticket availability so even if you hold off until game 7 of the world Series in the year 2028 you still may be denied because there are no tickets available.

I'm sorry but this is just stupid. I guess if you're a rich old person that doesn't want to take your money to your grave, then maybe they'll have a couple of tickets sold but come on. You won't even get to use it if there are no tickets available, which I would assume is the case if the Brewers ever played a game seven world series game.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

It's worth a shot for the Crew. They'll sell a few. $1k for a gift isn't out of the price range for a demographic. This makes no less sense to me than those who buy stock in the Packers.

I could think of a lot of cool combinations of things to purchase if I felt like dishing out $1K on Brewers collectibles. This would be right above dedicating an entire room of my house to Wes Helms memorabilia.

I don't think it's the type of thing you buy for actual value, so much as the novelty / keepsake value of the thing.

That being said, I don't throw away $950+ dollars on novelty, and I cannot see an investment of $1,000.00 now ever outstripping inflation on the value of a baseball ticket, so I'm not in the market for this.

I will be curious to find out when / if the timeless ticket ever gets redeemed for real tickets, if only for schadenfreude (even while realizing the buyer has more than enough money to write-off the loss, so the joke is really on the people talking about it).

Other Packer fans will see the stock certificate on your man cave wall and say "Wow, that's cool."

Other Brewer fans will see the bronze ticket and say "What the ##### is that?? I hope you didn't spend much on it."

On a serious note, at least you get to keep the bronze "statue" after you redeem your ticket. As others have said, it can have some value to the "fan who has everything."

"The most successful (people) know that performance over the long haul is what counts. If you can seize the day, great. But never forget that there are days yet to come."

Seems to be some unanswered questions even when you click the link to the timeless ticket web page and look at the FAQ's. The two questions I have are:

- Are the vouchers good for any seating area (or the timeless ticket for that matter)?

- Are the vouchers also timeless?

Also, as someone else mentioned if it's only redeemable when based on availability then it seems to lose a lot of possible value (if it had any). I would hope that they would treat timeless ticket holders similar to season ticket holder and give them the option to redeem at the same time that season ticket holders can purchase playoff tickets. I would also hope that you would have the opportunity to purchase on additional ticket at face value at the same time. If you redeemed it for a game 7 of the WS and there ended up not being a game 7 then you would get the timeless ticket back.

Depending on the age of the potential purchaser, perhaps some people are concerned they won't live long enough to redeem their Timeless Ticket at a World Series game.

but if you are young enough you can wait for the time machine invention and go to one of the 1982 WS games.

Schlesinger said the team has sold 240 timeless tickets so far, which he is pleased with given that, until this week, it was just a soft launch.

Is this only available for any home game or ANY Brewers game? Game 7 at Yankee stadium or Fenway would be incredible and probably a $1000 ticket or close to it. But how much would you expect a ticket at Miller Park to go for? I would think you could get into the World Series for a few hundred (maybe less?) if you don't mind sitting in the Terrace level.

There's a buncha questions I have about this, yet, don't really wanna seek out the answer since I won't be buying one anyway.

Some kid will get his hands on his fathers Timeless Ticket and cash it in for a midweek game again the Marlins.

BEST.

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.
