I'm finding this enjoyable. This team was not going to make the playoffs and everybody knew it except Mark A.

 

Every loss means they are a little closer to the #1 pick next year. This franchise needs legit young players, badly.

Actually, yes, the service they provide does make millions of dollars for owners, radio and television networks, the league, and local communities.

 

Fair enough, point is they make that much because of fan interest - ticket sales, sponsors, TV deals, etc. Not because their service is exponentially more important to society than police officers, construction workers, teachers, etc. IMO they deserve every penny they get because their talents draw in that money and people are willing to pay them - but that money is rooted in fan interest, so it drives me nuts when athletes act like dolts when it comes to not understanding the media.
