Trade with the Mets

Posted

I'm thinking if that is the best we are offered we should just hold on to him till the off-season. I can't imagine getting a worse best offer.

I'd want higher ceiling players. Though not Syndergaard...that's just ridiculously unreasonable.

I am sorry but if the Mets want Gomez then a Syndergaard needs to come back. If Syndergaard is off the table, then I am not inclined to move arguably the biggest offensive chip on the market. A hurt Wheeler could be a secondary piece but not the headliner for me.

I'd ask for Matz, we are in desperate need of a lefty in rotation. Gomez I don't see being able to land Syndergaard. Maybe if he was having another all star season but that is not the case.

There's no reason not to deal for young guys like Nimmo and Smith, but I want a pitcher in there. If Wheeler is available, then that's who I want.

Wheeler, Nimmo and Smith, for Gomez and a complimentary piece.

That would be a solid REALISTIC return for Gomez. Maybe they can have Cotts or Broxton too.

Go for it all and go Wheeler, Matz, Nimmo, and Smith for Gomez, 2 of Krod/Cotts/Broxton, and Segura or Parra

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

They won't trade Matz so maybe:

Wheeler/Conforto/Smith for Gomez/Will Smith/Parra/Segura

Is Conforto that big of a return to up it that much? Don't know much about him.

10th overall pick in last year's draft. Really good hitter but a corner outfielder.

All I've seen is that the Mets want Gomez but the Brewers don't want to trade him.. Hopefully it's just to try and get more out of the Mets than to actually keep him..

CF Carlos Gomez & 3B Aramis Ramirez

for

RHP Zack Wheeler

RHP Michael Fulmer

OF Brandon Nimmo

1 of 1B Dominic Smith / SS Gavin Cecchini / 3B Jhoan Urena

I'm hoping for something similar to this^^^

Fulmer, Nimmo and Cecchini were all mentioned as prospects they were willing to trade.
