A day of conflicted joy: Badgers advance but at the expense of One Charlie Stramel breaking his ankle. I had sincerely hoped he would get an opportunity to wear the Wild sweater late season after they (come on lads, any day now!) clinched their post-season berth. Likely wishful thinking, regardless, but what an awful way for Him to exit what was a fabulous season.

Stramel was a former Badger who transferred to the enemy. You are not likely to find much sympathy from the Badger fans here- just sayin!

LOL. I get that part of the fandom. But, I'm not looking for an ounce of sympathy. I am simply sharing my feels - after all, this thread is titled 'All Things Hockey'🤔 . Elated for Bucky. Bummed that classic Minnesota Wild luck is already rubbing off the wrong way on their current top prospect. THO, Benak may be the better player when all is said and done this go around.

Tough way to end your college career.

Such a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG wait to climb back up that mountain again.  So freaking happy today.   For whatever reason Badger Hockey has its tendrils firmly planted in my heart.  Been that way since my first Late night tape delay WPT game back in February 1984.

After that miraculous comeback anything is possible in Vegas.  The boys need to keep an even keel and go beat the Fighting Sioux!

UND and Denver are going to be tough outs In the Frozen four.

I'm not sure a big 10 team can beat either of those two right now.

If I had to rank them based on my own observations, id put them as No Dak, Michigan, Denver, Bucky.

However, it only takes 1 game and 2 weeks to prep is a good chunk of time.

I'd call it karma.

That championship game had a lot of symmetry.

Dexheimer had a hand in the first goal we gave up with the deflection off his stick flipping over the shoulder of Hauser and he gets the game winner bouncing off a defenseman in front of Augustine

The PWHL is probably the closest Milwaukee will get for a professional hockey team.  The media market though seems to be the biggest stopper for Milwaukee.

One thing Milwaukee has an advantage over Chicago is that the Fiserv Forum only has the Bucks and Marquette.  While Chicago has the Blackhawks and Bulls.  Chicago would have to build a new arena for a PWHL team and I don’t think that will happen.

Still a pipe dream for Milwaukee to receive a professional hockey team.

Game day. 4PM on ESPN 2. I saw it reported that Zach Schulz practiced with the team this week. Not sure if or how much he will play. But it would be nice to get some shifts from him today.

Chicago also has the All State arena.

That was built in 1980.  I think they would want something newer and not sharing a facility with an AHL team.  If the facility were newer I think they would overlook the sharing of the facility.  But with it being almost 50 years old that just doesn’t make any sense.

If Milwaukee had a bigger media market it would be a no brainer to put a team in Milwaukee with the Fiserv Forum being relatively new.

Lucky to still be 2-0 after two periods especially with the ref show making it 5 on 3 for almost a full two minutes. Huge for UW to kill that off. Now they need to close it out.

Penalty kill was awesome. Hauser was great. Wow. Awesome awesome game. Nearly blew it messing up the 2-0. Then at the end Fitz could have skated itnout the zone and whiffed it. Then he shoots instead of just sliding it into the corner. Wow. Awesome game.
