No link for you yet, sorry, but it seems the Brewers have signed Orveo Saint, a native of the Bahamas, and they will start him out in Arizona with the Maryvale kids, and he'll be listed as a shortstop to begin his pro career. It appears he has lived in the Fort Lauderdale area for at least a couple of years. Saint was recently listed at 6'2", 190.

Perhaps something with his Bahamian background that allows for his signing pre-draft, Perfect Game lists his school as the Accelerated Learning Center in Fort Lauderdale.

The Brewers now confirm this signing by placing Saint on their Maryvale roster. He'll turn 18 in November. Otherwise, still little online about the player.

RHP Tristan Archer goes back to Colorado Springs for the 2nd time this year. He was on the Sky Sox roster from 4/10-4/24. He has been with Biloxi for the bits of time he hasn't been with the Sky Sox.

He takes the place of RHP David Goforth, who goes on the Sky Sox 7-day DL.

Just speculation, but would not be surprising to see Archer's vacated Biloxi roster space filled by activating Aaron Wilkerson or Preston Gainey, or by promoting Tyler Spurlin from "Helena".

AUDIO via Thursday's Wisconsin Pre-Game Show: Manager Matt Erickson

Includes discussion of what will involve soon-to-be-official injury-related transactions, as LHP Jake Drossner and RHP Dalton Brown are going to have their current DL stints transferred to extended spring training.

Also, injury updates on RHP Victor Diaz (new and hopefully minor), the welcome return of RHP David Burkhalter, and a promising update on RHP Zack Brown.

Go to the 06:20 minute mark to revisit the podcast you listened to yesterday via Thursday's Link Report. That's the point in the interview where the injury-related discussion commences.

Bringing this up now, because the Brewers have made the following moves official:

Drossner and Dalton Brown have been moved to Maryvale (Helena's paper roster) to continue rehabbing DL stints there instead of Wisconsin.

Diaz goes on the 7-day Timber Rattlers DL retroactive to May 3rd.

Burkhalter formally joins the Rattlers from extended spring training.

Good to see Burkhalter back, he had a very nice season going as a 20-year-old in low-A last year before being sidelined. His K:BB rate was third behind Perrin and Zack Brown.

We've also signed OF Michael Choice to a minor league contract and assigned him to Biloxi.

Looks like Roache's spot is taken.

Yamamoto is still with the team. Not sure to what extent he is injured, and/or to what extent they don't have a place for him in the rotation at the moment.

Thanks I remember at the time he went on DL there was no other comment at the time, and since. Hope it's not one of those cases where we find out 3 months later he got TJ.

Really sorry to see this Haudricourt tweet --

#Brewers released longtime organizational catcher Adam Weisenburger. No real spot for him with Rene Garcia ready to be activated at @skysox.

I really enjoyed following Adam's career. Truly hope he finds affiliated work again.

I always thought he was one of the best defensive catcher's in the organization, sorry to see him go.

Did we ever hear what happened with Adam? In 2015 he had a spring training invite, was a AA all star and probably the top catcher in the system (I know that's not saying much) to barely playing in 2016.

The Brewers have purchased the Mexican League contract of 18-year-old RHP Victor Castaneda, and plan to assign him to Maryvale, according to this report (Spanish).

Weird there is no financial details announced. I would assume an 18 year old in Mexico’s top league gets some bonus and his team put some value on purchasing his contract.

Could the international bonus slot acquired from Baltimore be why and what is paid to this player? Thus signing him before this period began counts towards 16's period.

Speaking of this, Jordan Yamamoto has been activated for the Mudcats. Colton Cross goes on the DL.

Noriega activated and moved to Biloxi because they need 7 infielders, while CS only needs 4.
