Disagree. 8 is and should be enough. Get him off his feet and put a better defensive player out there. It could've paid dividends down the road as he might play a game he normally wouldn't of.

I haven't checked but I'm sure there was a big contract or two that passed thru waivers.

 

It's possible Nelson might miss some of 2018 so might be a cheap way to pick up a guy to carry us in September and use next year too?

It's a moot point now, but "should" is the operative word here. These are the Brewers after all, and it's not like losing a game you had an eight run lead in is unprecedented. A "we don't deserve to win if we blow this big lead" is a dangerous mindset to have when you're battling for a playoff spot, especially a game against the Cubs. Did you think the Falcons had the Super Bowl wrapped up at 28-3?

 

That being said, I think we're safe now with a 14 run lead.
