When Zagurski comes on, you know CC's given up any hope of the offense scoring a run.

And he pitches a great clean inning with a couple Ks. Because of course he does LOL.

Because. Baseball.

We need to get a quick strike here. I don’t want another shutout !

I see no reason Sanchez isn't going 9 shutout. Good grief with this.

Doing it with great command. A lot of movement, and I think he's hit every corner today. Taking advantage of a line-up full of impatient hitters.

Perez and Miller got it going with a run and Sanchez is done for today. This game isn't over yet. Except for the 1st inning the Brewers pitched pretty darn good.

I go to the bathroom and we score. Typical. Maybe we put Barnes in to put the game out of reach now? We need our fat Albers back

CC wants Z for Freeman and Markakis. We will see how that goes with a man on now.

I think it will be Barnes in the ninth if trailing and Hader if tied or leading.

Edit: Sometimes playing lefty-lefty is silly. Especially when the pitcher is not good.

Annnnnd that's the ball game! What idiotic bullpen management. Put your all-star lefty against their best, not some trash reliever.

I guess this is part of the "overwork the guy who is getting DFA'd tomorrow" trick. I'd have preferred the "try to win the game" path instead.

It didn't go well

That's been a Counsell go-to this year as well. Maybe the decision was already made, and Counsell didn't want Stearns to look foolish by DFAing a guy who just pitched a great inning?

We really don’t really know why those guys aren’t being used as much. Maybe they see this as a great opportunity to play the long game.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Counsell's pen management the last 2 games has been absolutely atrocious.

Perhaps Counsell has as much faith in our hitting as this board. If we're behind, why waste the good ones I guess?

Yeah, this is my one big issue with CC. He will pitch anyone when the Crew is trailing. It is like he doesn't believe in keeping games close. I sort of get it, but Z getting ripped by good lefties is awfully predictable...
