Perez is a nice bench guy but four million per year for a small market club for a guy who will never OBP 300 is outrageous. He's a decent Defender, he's versatile and he has a little bit of Pop. Those are not the types of players you give multi-year deals to. Perez is easily replaceable year-to-year.

I know Villar has been getting a lot of flack lately, but he's looked really good at the plate over the last week or so. I'm not sure if the numbers back me up, but I don't remember him having been bad at bats lately.

 

It seems like he's had good games when leading off. Still has the speed to cause problems on the base paths. He has more patience this year, was at one point leading the team in pitches per AB. Seems like when CC put him at the top of the order he's made things happen.

Surprised that Yelich didn't get the ball that Saladino missed. Would've likely been better to have a left fielder come in for that catch and have momentum taking him more towards the plate with a man on third base.
