That has to be one of the more shallow, yet successful sac flys I can ever remember seeing. Nice way to win it.

It was surprising how bad that throw was.

look at that regression....

I mean he was 0 for 4 with a shallow fly that ended up being a sac fly mostly because of a poor throw, so....

Still, he put it in play and gave Cain a shot so credit to him for that.

It wasn't the arm strength that made the throw bad, it was the accuracy. If that throw is within a couple feet of the catcher, it's an out. Remember, Cain was the runner and has good speed. Fortunately his aim was way off.

Here's a thought. How bad is this offense if we don't get Cain and Yelich in the offseason? We had ten hits tonight, and those two combined for 7 of 'em.

Guerra had 2 of the others. Not a great day for the offense outside of the two MVP candidates..

I know Saladino won it, but I would still love to see Arcia at SS and Dozier at 2B by the time this homestand is done.

So by tomorrow afternoon? I wouldn’t count on that happening.

I would be happy with a Dozier acquisition at some point.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Brad Miller does not seem like the answer at 2nd...

I still just have a feeling this is a game the Crew ends up winning. Don't know why. Will probably be wrong. Hanging with it anyway.

I don't know what the odds are of winning when you are down 4, but tip of the cap to you for this one.

Home team down 4 in the middle of the 2d has about an 18 percent chance of winning. At the end of 4 it was down to about 9.

Yeah, probably a logistic impossibility at this point. I imagine something is going to happen on the trade front pretty quick, though. The dominos are starting to fall.

If the Brewers win tomorrow they will be up to a .500 record for the month of July. That would be quite an accomplishment considering how bleak things have looked recently.

Guerra gutting out 6 innings tonight was huge. The team couldn't afford another short start tonight, and after the first inning, that's what it looked like it was going to be. Guerra buckled down, though, and was pretty great after that first inning.

Speaking of monthly splits, the Washington Nationals went 20-7 in May this year and are just 16-28 since.

Lorenzo Cain's sprint speed scoring the walk-off run for the Brewers on a 257-foot sac fly:

30.1 feet per second. 30+ is elite.

Yep.

But also think how much better we'd be if Arica and Santana hit like 2017.

Or Pina, or Shaw.

And if he gets thrown out, everyone wants Ed Sedar's head.

Awesome. Saladino looked like he was basically just trying to get it to an OF, and Cain shows why.

Complete the sweep!

Are the Twins shopping Dozier? I thought I read somewhere that they weren't...?

It would be great to sweep the Nats but I'll be surprised if we do. Sweeping teams ain't easy.
