Extremely disappointing ABs by Braun and Thames. Blowing a golden chance for a big number could be game deciding here. Hopefully they can get to him again.

It's really too bad they didn't get a hit, but they generally had good at bats. Can't get a hit every time. The main disappointment for me is Braun missing that hanging slider down the middle. Otherwise they had good atbats, made Maeda work. Get him out in the 5th inning or better

Not very impressed with only 1 run after all that traffic in the top of the first. Pina swung at at least two pitches out of the zone. He could have walked! If Braun had just put the ball in play we have a chance of scoring a run. Disappointing!!

I like both at bats by Braun and Thames. This isn’t slow pitch softball. They both worked counts. Fouled pitches off. Hell, Thames almost made it 5-0. Even Pina had a good AB.

MLB hitters should be expected to hit things not right down the pipe. Pina slapped a ball a foot off the plate the end his AB.

Pina can’t square a ball up to save his life. Hence why he ends up with so many long ABs all the time only to end in terrible Ks or soft contact. It is bad.

They didn't need a hit. All Thames had to do was hit a flyball and basically all Braun had to do was put it in play and not pop it up. He had 2 very, very hittable pitches.

I can't help but keep thinking that this might be Peralta's final appearance in a Brewer uniform. I mean, of the young studs, I think he's the most likely to go in a blockbuster tomorrow.

But what a career it's been!

Of course not every pitch of his sequence was terrible, but Braun not even just putting a hanging slider in play was a killer.

I'm not disappointed in Thames. He murdered the first pitch - it just happened to be foul. The pop-up pitch was a great pitch.

Whenever a Brewers player doesn't hit the ball really hard, safe or out, it's not necessarily because he screwed up. The pitcher has a job to do, too, and sometimes they do it well.

It. Happens.

I know we are fans and we are ultra critical but the AB’s were fine. Not always going to get the results. We just are really critical because we have been so bad in those situations. Had those guys hit weak crap or struck out on three pitches or swung at multiple balls, I’d be right there with ya. This just wasn’t one of those instances to me.

It isn't exactly easy to hit a fly ball when you want, even for a pro. But yeah that slider to Braun...could have knocked Maeda out early.

I think people expecting such a move tomorrow are going to be disappointed (or not disappointed, depending on your perspective.)

Lets be real here, it is Counsell's fault when this happens.

I don’t want Peralta to be traded and I think those who want to trade him are foolish

I don't think anyone wants to trade him for sake of trading him, but if he was the guy leading a package for realmuto or degrom...you'd be insane not to listen.

Everyone except Mike Trout is available for the right price.

[sarcasm]Muncy, what a bum. How disappointing.[/sarcasm]

Man, that curve ball from Peralta to wipe him out. ... Sexy

Peralta-Burnes is just so exciting for next year. It’d be so fun to watch these guys grow as Brewers.

Exactly! I like Freddy, and I don't want him traded. I personally just don't think that he has the upside that others here seemingly do. If he pitches well tonight, his value may not get much higher.

Sometimes it's ok to see the forest through the trees.

Oh great. I already have trouble staying up for these games.

Or be the next Peralta...Wily Peralta.
