I wonder if BA is surprised they pitching to Pina?

Rock...BA...you don't intentionally walk a guy who already has 2 strikes on him. Come on.

Freddy has had a lot more than a couple oops games. He is very fortunate they have stuck with him in the rotation this long especially given his tendency for control problems.

Too early. Blowing the pen out too early.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This team is infuriating to watch.

Another starter who can’t go more than 5.

Another game where Josh Hader has to save the day.

Counsell is questionable but can NEVER have a comfortable lead. He has to continuously make pitching moves which are always under a microscope because his starters $h!t the bed night after night, lead after lead.

Both starters lines this series have been embarrassing

Exactly. He isn't ready. Should be pitching in AAA.

Two game giving up 7 runs. One giving up 4. Otherwise 3 runs or less in the rest of his starts. “Couple” seems like the right word to me.

That's one way to limit Peralta's innings.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

He's also had many, many more opportunities than Woodruff for some reason.

Gah I hate Scooter Gennett.

Shoulda stuck with Peralta. Blown out pen for tomorrow now too. Might actually get swept.
