Arcia shouldn't even swing.

Montgomery is having performance issues.

Montgomery just had a dl stint for a shoulder, and he doesnt look right.

That should have been a huge inning, but wound up scoring a run by basically being gifted it. Need a crooked number on their starter the next time through the order.

I appreciate the patience at the plate that half inning. 30 pitch inning for montgomery. A quick inning would be huge, don't give Montgomery much of a breather and have to face the top of the order...

All of you arguing for electronic strike zone...

Are we talking about a full 3D zone? So often it seems to me that the point shown on TV or Gameday is where the ball hits the C mitt. Of it was in the zone at the front of the plate or just nipped the corner of a true 3D box, that is a strike.

If they could use a chip inside the balls that worked in conjunction with a computer that adjusted the zone for tall and short hitters, I could go along. Been saying that for 1st downs in football for years. Just don't like the way people judge an ump based on where the pitch ends up.

Nice ab for Arcia. Monty just threw a perfect pitch to get him.

Agreed, Arcia was pitched mostly inside that atbat. Backdoor cutter, nice pitch. Also you can question whether Miley should have taken a middle middle fastball on 2-1 but I'm ok with it. Every pitch the pitcher sees in his at bats is a win. Plus, the spotty command...the next 2 pitches could very well have been off the plate.

No. An actual robot behind home plate. He could also fire a ray gun at Madden whenever he complains about the strike zone.

I also don't see the TV zone adjust much to the height of the hitter. Too often I see balls that hit the bottom of the zone against a guy like Jesus, not really be in the zone because it's below his knees.

As for the electronic strike zone. I do wonder how they'd quickly adjust it for someone like Orf or Scooter and then for someone like Broxton or Bryant. Very different zones.

I have read that the zones change by batter based on multiple cameras aimed at points of the body.
