Just saw this Tweet from earlier today and it made me smile:

#Rockies Nolan Arenado quote: "Well, the (visiting) clubhouse smells good, so they did a good job cleaning it up. There was no residue or bad smells from the party the Brewers had, so that was nice."

I don't know if my nerves could take a five-gamer vs. the Cubs. Yesterday was rough.

THIS for sure...

Like others have said, losing the series to the Cubs is an entire different level of hurt than it would be losing to anyone else not named the Cardinals...

Losing will suck regardless, so maybe we just shouldn't lose.

Holliday is useless.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

That reaffirms his status as one of my favorite non Brewers players in MLB

Classic line to “flame” the Cub organization.

Wow, Dahl overrunning (and slipping?) on that flyball could prove devastating for the Rockies.

Edit: Nope, Freeland continues on looking free and easy.

Typical Cubs this year. They had by far the lowest fielding percentage against. Teams just love to play their worst against them for whatever reason.

Maddon is pulling Lester, who was pretty close to dominant tonight, after 6. To go to his gassed bullpen.

If this game doesn't work out for the Cubs, that one is going to be questioned.

Maddon talked about giving Lester a longer leash tonight than most pitchers. Yes, this decision may come back to torment him.

They spent about 15 seconds or so on that review and it looked like he might have missed him. Don't you just feel like they would have spent a good 3 or 4 minutes looking over that one in New York if it was our out?

Well, 6 innings is a super long leash considering how Maddon loves going to to the pen. Still, I would have given Lester at least another inning ... or simply just let him go until he gets in trouble. He looked dominant after the 1st inning.

And to go to Chavez, who just went 2 against the Brewers yesterday? Playing with fire.
